  1. The Mayo Hotel 115 West 5th Street Tulsa, OK 74103 Amenities: Suite, Boutique Hotel, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Kitchenette The Suite/Boutique/Kitchenette should make this easy to spot. I'm told this can sometimes get down to the $99 range. Was looking for a special occasion place and this fits the bill. Not sure why this is a 4* place since it's absolutely better than every 4* I've stayed at. Due to a fortuitous mixup I was upgraded to a nicer suite as well but the inside of the 'hotwire' suite was no slouch. Kitchen area with sink, microwave, and fridge w/ icemaker. Large bathroom with a separate shower with multiple water spouts and bathtub for two. Wooden floors with rugs and carpeting. Cons: Valet parking only... ($20/night) otherwise you have to chance the downtown parking scene. The heater/ac was also located in the kitchen closet and made some noise when on.
  2. Taxes push the actual cost to $255. Pricey but this was for a special occasion. Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Spa Services. The Spa Services should indicate that this is Hotel Palomar There is no free parking. Valet parking was $18 per night. The room is terrific with a nice bathroom (especially the sink area). Flatscreen TV, bathrobes, free wireless internet.
  3. Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Currently has ongoing construction in Lincoln Center. The hotel is sandwiched between two office towers. Bathroom was a bit larger than the norm. Did not try internet although I believe there is a charge. It is located across the interchange from the Dallas Galleria Mall.
  4. InterContinental Dallas 15201 Dallas Parkway Addison, Texas 75001 (972) 386-6000 Ammenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby I wanted this hotel and I believe the Tennis ammenity differentiates it from the Hilton Suites and the Omni. The tennis courts are actually located on the roof of part of the hotel. There is some sort of high-speed internet access available although I didn't use it. Toilet had drip problems but wasn't an issue since I was only staying one night. I've stayed at nicer Inter-Continentals but it's quite alright for it's age.
  5. There is high speed but no icon is listed in the ammenities. This is a change from previous listings.
  6. Grand Hyatt Atlanta 3300 Peachtree Road Atlanta, Georgia 30305 (404) 365-8100 Listed Ammenities: Fitness Center,Pool,Restaurant,High-speed Internet Access Internet is $9.95 per day. The hotel is very nice and I have stayed here several times. I had to change rooms late at night due to a plumbing problem but I ended up with a better room. Service was prompt and courteous. There is quite a bit of construction going on around the building (for you late sleepers).
  7. The Intercontinental has been moved down to 4* (For a few months it had been bumped to 4.5*) InterContinental Buckhead 3315 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, Georgia 30326 (404) 946-9000 Listed Amenities: Fitness Center,Pool, Restaurant,Business Center They also have high speed internet for ~$14 a night. The bathroom is still the most spacious and luxirous that I've stayed at and the bed by far the most comfortable.
  8. Hilton Suites by the Galleria 13402 Noel Road Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas 75240 (972) 503-8700 Ammenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center. Sorry about the late posting. The hotel is across the street from the Galleria Mall. Parking was $4 a day done with a code system and auto-billed to your room. The room was top floor near the elevator. The noise is noticeable although died down after midnight. The top floor is also very warm in the summer although it's fine in the rooms. The room itself was a nice clean suite with a fridge and microwave.
  9. InterContinental Buckhead 3315 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, Georgia 30326 (404) 946-9000 Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, High Speed Internet Access, Business Center I know this is for a few months ago but I figure I'd throw in the data point. Sadly, I actually did not get to stay this time (I had on a previous occasion) due to a business trip falling through.
  10. I can confirm that the Intercontinental is now a 4.5 star (as it should be). Just booked. I'll post more details after my trip. Incidentally, the IC has a full spa but it is not listed in the hotwire ammenities. It almost confused me when I saw a 4 star with the same ammenities plus spa listed. Thankfully I saw this thread and got what I wanted.
  11. InterContinental Buckhead 3315 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, Georgia 30326 (404) 946-9000 Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, High Speed Internet Access, Business Center Consistent dial-up speeds of 54K achieved (YMMV). High Speed was quoted at ~$11 per day. Fitness center has about 6 elipticals and 6 treadmills along with some weights and 3 bikes. Received 3rd floor room, quiet except when the live jazz band is playing (until ~10-11pm). Very clean and bright, comfy bed, upscale bathroom. Had a turn-down service (a first for me).
  12. Sheraton Buckhead 3405 Lenox Rd. NE Atlanta, Georgia 30326 (404) 261-9250 Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center Received 4th floor, room a bit worn but certainly acceptable. Looked like some mediocre plumbing work had been done in past but functional bathroom. Dial-up speeds in the 26K range.
