  1. The better BiddingHelper.com is now showing another 4* under the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for $132/night. Amenities: Fitness Center Business Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool The difference to the other 4* is "Airport Shuttle", which makes me think this is the Hyatt since it is literally located in the airport (hence no need for a shuttle). The price seems more likely as well. Would you agree?
  2. Thanks for the reply. After looking at things further I agree with you. The $101 PRICELINE EXPRESS seemed too good to be true for the Hyatt. That HOTWIRE listing seems more likely. I'll let you know what happens.
  3. I'm hoping to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. When searching PRICELINE EXPRESS for April 15-16 it is showing a 4* Orlando International Airport hotel for $101 with the following amenities: Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities From the Priceline Hotel list I think this should be the Hyatt Regency based on the "No Smoking Rooms/Facilities". However, I was searching some past posts and one from February 6th had a discussion about a Priceline Express offer for a hotel in the same area with the same amenities but the guess was the Renaissance The Renaissance is no longer listed under the Priceline Express Deals on the hotel list. Would anyone still guess Hyatt? Thanks.
  4. I didn't end up using Hotwire or Priceline. I needed to be at the Sheraton so I ended up booking it directly since it wasn't clear.
  5. Thanks for your reply. I was only looking at the hotels under express deals on the overall list but I guess the offers change so frequently that I should look at all the hotels. I believe you are correct as when I went to checkout it showed: "Mandatory fee of CAD 15.95 per room per stay is collected at the hotel." Some googling revealed that to be the fee charged by the Crowne Plaza. I haven't decided whether to book yet but others should be aware that resort fees (or whatever they want to call them) can be quite useful for identifying properties, at least in Niagara Falls anyway.
  6. Hello, I am trying to identify the following: 3.5* Niagara Falls - Clifton Hills Area June 22 - 23, 2017 $85/night USD Business Center, Restaurant, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Casino, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities The Priceline Hotel List does not show a 3.5* Express Deal for this area but there is both a 3* and 4*. My guess is that this is the 4* Sheraton on the Falls but I just wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks.
  7. Apologies for a very late reply. Because of the concerns about occupancy I ended up booking direct with the Cosmopolitan after calling a few hotels in the area. Final cost was $207/night + taxes and fees.
  8. Sorry for starting a new thread. My trip is for 3 guests and from reading the forum I've learned that Priceline is not necessarily the best idea in the case of more than double occupancy, especially in a city like NY with small rooms. This is why I switched over to checking Hotwire where I spied the deal I posted above. The Sheraton seems like it would be a pretty good deal. I will follow up with my final travel plans. Thanks for your help.
  9. I would appreciate any help identifying the following 4* in Midtown Central: Dates: Dec. 11-14 Rate per night: $182 Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the reply. My goal would be the least expensive 4* or better, with a preference to be as far south as possible (so Chelsea or ESB). So, I guess that means it would make sense to bid Chelsea & ESB first and then add MTE, MTW, and CPS? Would it be better to add them progressively or just all together? Would it make a difference? I did omit Times Square intentionally as I am assuming it is much busier and noisier in that area all the time. I followed the explanation in the Re-Bidding Tutorial and I believe I have figured out the re-bidding zones for 4* or better. Can you please confirm my re-bid zones? I have the following five zones: 1) Coney Island 2) Long Island 3) MSG 4) Queensborough Bridge 5) Upper East Side Thanks.
  11. I have a trip to NYC planned for Dec 11-14. I'd prefer staying in the Soho area but Priceline's Soho-Financial district zone is so large I'm hesitant to add this zone and end up really far south. Given how accessible the subway is I think that Chelsea and the Empire State Building zones would be a fine alternative, and from there stretching out to Midtown East, Midtown West, and perhaps Central Park South. I would like to keep my costs below $200/night if that is possible this time of year. I would appreciate if someone could confirm how many re-bid zones I have at the 4* level and perhaps suggest a bidding strategy. Thank you.
  12. I used the PRICELINE link on the board and had my bid of $95 accepted for a 4* in Montreal (Downtown) for June 17-22, 2011. Turned out to by the Hyatt Regency; I was hoping for one of the other hotels in the zone but I'm quite satisfied for the price. I hear they recently finished some big renovations so hopefully that will put to rest some of the complaints I've read on tripadvisor. I had tried bidding up to $100 in the Convention Centre zone but was unsuccessful. Thanks to everyone for the helpful information shared on these forums.
