Wow. Wasn't expecting this property but it's right across the street from the conference I'm attending and currently at $102 on hotels.com. Used the HOTWIRE link to book. On a side note, I'm glad this area is split up into smaller regions now as I don't think I would have used Hotwire with the older larger regions. Needed a last minute room and this was pretty much a no brainer. Only a couple of possible hotels and got a room for about $30-40 less than the list rate. Used the PRICELINE link to book of course.

Needed a cheap place to crash on the way to a conference and noticed this region as having lots of cheap hotels. Tried $29 for 2.5 and didn't get it so ended up with $30 for 2*. Used the PRICELINE link to book as always. They have a shuttle which is all I really need. Continental breakfast a bonus.

Started at $80 and went up adding non 4-star areas. Bid was $110 plus $7 bonus cash. Used the PRICELINE link to bid as always. From the other posts, seems like a great new hotel.

I usually try for 3 star or higher but considering the area and the fact this falls inside of Google I/O, I took what I could get. $129 on Hotels.com so a bit of a savings, and the location is good. Probably would have been at least $150 or more for something nicer. Considering I don't plan on sleeping a lot, I'll take it. used the PRICELINE link to book, of course.

So I needed another night in San Diego. Didn't end up at the same hotel as my previous priceline hotel win, but it's about 0.8 from the Omni and a bit cheaper. So will get to experience some different parts of the downtown. Used the PRICELINE link as always.

Was hoping for the Manchester but with a convention that week (which I'm attending) it's likely already filling up. This looks to be a very highly-regarded property however and is about a mile from my convention. I'll enjoy my room while the other convention attendees pay over $200 a night. Needed a room last minute, and of course this is much cheaper than a walk up. Used the PRICELINE link to start my search, and won on my first bid of $30. Didn't see this hotel mentioned recently, but it should be just fine. Thanks as always.

Needed a room downtown for a conference, and thought I'd try Priceline instead of Hotwire this time and ended up saving a few more bucks. $51 4 star was rejected, so tried 3.5 and got this Hilton only 3 blocks from the place I'm exhibiting at. I seem to have good luck when waiting to the last minute to book on Hotwire. Booked this a few hours before I left. Location was a quick walk from Union Station. They have a filtered water station with plastic bottles to fill on each floor, which I thought was a nice touch. No line for check in or out, and key card access for the elevators.
