  1. I just checked and I'm still able to extend the stay at the same price. I just might add Sunday night. We'll see.
  2. After trying back and forth between Sandusky/Findlay (night stay prior to Cedar Point), finally got this 2*. It's no Sheraton, but it looks alright for the cost.
  3. Tried again tonight for Sandusky: Bid 3* $62 & $64 - Both Rejected Bid 2.5* at $55 & $59 - Both Rejected
  4. Bid Resort for Waikiki Beach Area (WB) at $100 - Rejected Bid WB + Diamond Head Area (DH) at $115 - Rejected Bid WB + DH + Executive Center (EC) at $125 - Rejected Bid WB + EC at $135 - Rejected Paused for sleeping/work activities.
  5. After losing Sandusky, I thought I'd try Findlay. Still no luck. Bid 2.5* Findlay at $40 - Rejected Later tried the same bid at $50 - Rejected
  6. Sandusky, OH 7/13 - 7/14 Bid for Sandusky - Huron 3* at $50 - Rejected Added Sandusky - Milan 3* (free bid) at $55 - Rejected Lowered to 2.5* at Sandusky - Huron at $50 - Rejected
  7. Tried bidding for RESORT Ka'anapali at $115 - Rejected Ka'anapali + Kahului at $126 - Rejected Ka'anapali + Kihei at $137 - Rejected Ka'anapali + Kahului + Kihei at $150 - Rejected Luckily I have plenty of time, so I'll wait and retry this strategy again.
  8. I bid 4*NYC MTE & MTW through $140 with no luck. Then I followed the suggested bidding strategy to a T all the way through the $135 levels. I was doing this from work and didn't have the time to keep cycling through, so I switched to Jersey City (might need to switch this to the NJ forum). I bid Jersey City area Starting at $102 & added rebidding zones in $5 increments. Ended up winning the 4* Westin Jersey City Newport for just $132 a night. Thanks again thereuare for all of your help. And as always, GO BLUE!
  9. Let's go with 4* for MTE, MTC then, and 3.5* for Chelsea Park, Soho, Empire Area, Hell's Kitchen, Madison Sq., MTW, Times Sq, Upper East & West side. I know that some of those areas will be re-bidding zones as they may not have 3.5 or higher. If I can't get that in my price range, then I'll try out Jersey City. My company is putting me up in Hilton Times Square during the week (reviews make it sound quite nice). Thanks again for the help!
  10. I would like to try for NYC First. Yes, 3.5* or better for NYC, but 4* for Hoboken/Jersey City. Thanks again!
  11. I would prefer to stay as close to downtown as possible. My wife and I are wanting to see WTC memorial, statue of liberty, and a few other things. Thought of Hoboken because we watch Cake Boss and thought it might be neat to see Carlos Bakery. I use the links on this forum and am welcome to suggestions. I'm a little nervous about the Sheraton after some of the warnings I've seen you leave for other bidders. Obviously it's a good value for the price, but I am looking for ease in getting into the city. Does the tunnel get backed up often on the weekend? I'm assuming the Sheraton is a ways from the Path stop? To sum it up, I'd prefer downtown or close, but if I can't get that reasonably, I'll take the Sheraton. I have a conference downtown later in the week and my company is paying for that. Thanks for your help!r
  12. I know I'm lowballing it, but I'd really like to set a cap at $150/night for 10/22-10/24. I'm flexible as to safe locations throughout NYC and Jersey City/Hoboken, but I'd like to be able to access the city within 25min/cheaply. I'd prefer 3.5 star or better. Any suggestions on bidding strategy? Thanks in advance for your help, and Go Blue (Wolverines)!
