I saw another user won this hotel for $90 around the same timeframe so I started with an $80 dollar bid and it was accepted. Taxes and fees are 20.48 so 100.48 total. I was about to book directly through the hotel as I am attanding a conference there but even with a discounted room I was quoted 185.00 (159.00 plus taxes). I decided to take a chance since any hotel near the conference would work for me and I got lucky.

Won this hotel for 1 night, 07/06/11. I placed my bid on Tuesday June 28th with Priceline showing a rate of $249.00. I love this site and of course used it to link to PRICELINE. My goal was to book an oceanfront hotel on Virginia Beach for no more than $100 and I did it! Here is how I bid.... Bid history: 3 1/2* Virginia Beach Area only, bid $63 Received message suggesting I increase bid to $78, ignored this and added Norfolk Naval Base,increased bid to $65 added Norfilk Airport (ORF),increased bid to $67 added Chesapeake-Greenbrier Area,increased bid to $69 added Central Suffolk,increased bid to $71 - Bid accepted $71.00 plus $18.07 taxes & fees= total paid is $89.07

I used the PRICELINE link from this site for bidding. Nashville area - 1 night, 5/19/2011 Bid history: 3.5* only Franklin-Cool Springs $50 3.5* added Antioch-Smyrna, increased to $55 3.5* added South Nashville, increased to $57 - Bid accepted $57.00 plus 18.66 taxes & Fees= total 75.66
