  3. I ended up getting the Hotel Burnham for $150/night for 2 nights/2 rooms on 7/6/12-7/8/12. I used the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin my travel purchases. Thanks for all the help!
  4. For the 3* Mag Mile hotel it is $104/night USD For the 3* Chicago Loop - Theater District area hotel it is $115/night USD.
  5. Thanks for you help guys! I found a couple of properties, this one is again on the weekend of 6/22-6/24 in the loop area (3 star on hotwire for 119.38/night with 95% recommnedtation). The first one has the following amenities: - Indoor pool(s) - Fitness Center - Pool(s) - Business Center - Laundry Facilities (self-service) - High-Speed Internet Access - Complimentary Breakfast - Free Internet Is this the La quinta Inn? If so, how does this compare to the aforementioned Club Quarters Wacker on the dates 7/6-7/8. I know the Club quarters is in a better location (on the river) but I heard the room sizes are not that great. Ideally I would like to get 1 room for 2 people and the second room for 4 people (2 double beds). If not then I would just get the 3 rooms. I can travel on either of these 2 weekends. The second one i found is 3 star in River NMA for 107.96/night with 90% recommendation with amenities: - Indoor pool(s) - Fitness Center - Pool(s) - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - Laundry Facilities (self-service) - High-Speed Internet Access Again, thanks for the help.
  6. This is what I see when I scroll over "see all amenities": - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Laundry Facilities (self-service) - High-Speed Internet Access - Accessible for the blind - Accessible for the deaf - Free Internet - Accessible path of travel - In-room accessibility - Accessible bathroom - Roll-in shower
  7. I've seen another property listed as 3.5 star in MM/River North area for $108 night with amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access. Is this the club quarters wacker?
  8. Perhaps this should be moved to the hotwire thread. I've had to change the date we'll be travelling to 6/7/2012 - 8/7/2012. We need 2 beds in each room as we have 6 people in total and would rather do 2 rooms (3 people each room) vs 3 rooms. I found this listing on hotwire: 4* for $162/night in Chicago loop theater district with following amenities: Boutique Hotel, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible bathroom Is this the hotel Monaco as i've stayed there before and enjoyed my stay.
  9. I am looking for 6/22-24 so basically 2 nights. 2 people in each room and 1 of the rooms we would prefer 2 double beds. Do you think Hotwire might be a better option in my case? I found this 3 star hotel in mag mile area on hotwire for $104/night. Any ideas which one it might be? indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center with 90 % recommendation.
  10. I will be heading to Chicago on the June 22 weekend with family so we are looking for 3 rooms. I want a hotel next to the river (on either side) so that we are centrally located to all the sights. We are looking for a 4 star hotel but not looking to spend past $130/night. What would be the best bidding strategy. I've also heard great things about the Hyatt and how some people get it so cheap during the year but the rack rate is well over 200 bucks that weekend. Could this hotel be had in any way through priceline bidding? Thanks in advance.
  11. Thanks guys for the advice but I canceled the trip altogether. I'll be sure to use this forum for future bidding.
  12. I would prefer staying at the DoubleTree after reading so many positive reviews plus free parking. After searching the forum it seems people were able to get it for between $40-50 night around the same time frame i'm going. Could it be i'm a bidding a little too early?
  13. I would say my max for a 3* in that area would be $60 or so (definitely not higher than 70). Is that reasonable for those days?
  14. I will be staying in the SD area from 2/3/2011 - 3/3/2011 and i've been trying to bid on 3* hotels in the Del mar area after reading people were able to get the doubletree for $43. I tried bidding that (and higher) now i'm upto $50 without any more rebid zones and it still got rejected. Should I wait a little closer to the dates before trying again?
  15. Using PRICELINE link. I bid $65 for 4* in SFO international Airport - Burlingame area. Was counter-offered $85. I rejected, added Civic center and got the Hilton airport for $75 on 27/2/2011 - 28/2/2011.
  16. Started off with your PRICELINE link and bid $93 for USW-Nob Hill. Was counter-offered for $118. I rejected and added Civic Center and rebid $100 and got Hotel Nikko for 25/2/2011 - 27/2/2011. This is my first visit to bay area, is this a good deal?
  17. I'm planning a trip to California in late Feb/early march (I'm from Toronto, Canada). I'll be in San Diego Mon Feb 28 to Wed Mar 2 and I was looking to stay at one of the Coronado resorts with my wife. I'm afraid by bidding on Priceline, I may end up with the Mariott resort while I've got my eyes on the Loews resort. I think the Del is slightly outside my price range. I am looking for a bay view room as well so i think its about 270/night on their website. Any advice for a newbie in this situation? Would bidding make any sense in this situation? Also, where can I get promo codes for this particular resort? Thanks
