Re resort fees and PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, most of the properties that show up there disclose the fee as an "additional mandatory fee" at checkout. However there's occasionally a hotel with no such mandatory/resort fee at checkout. If there's no fee listed, does that guarantee you won't be charged resort fees? Or is it still a possibility? I asked Price.line via email but got a rote response that didn't answer the question.

They had a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $59 for a 3* Seattle Center, so figured NYOP would be somewhat less. Started at $48, hit at $51. $41 + $10 Bonus Cash.

Not sure if that's a typo of mine or if it's been edited, but the total amount bid was $50. $40 + $10 bonus cash.

Started at $40, worked up to $50 and accepted. Had $10 in bonus cash per night so the actual cost was less.

Started bidding at $44 and bumped by $2 using free rebids until $50 was accepted. Cheapest prepaid on the hotel site was $83.

Thought I did but forgot to turn off a feature of my security software that strips out the referrer. At least I think that's what happened, as it's been a problem on shopping sites too.

First bid accepted at $75.

Stayed there back in January and definitely had a better experience, but I agree that the hotel is not 3* quality, I got a 2.5* experience. Great value with the included parking, breakfast, & internet (if you use at&t)...but the rooms are too small and too outdated to rate a 3*. Priceline should downgrade the place.

Had to extend my trip by a day, got the airport Doubletree this time. $5 bonus cash + $35 regular bid.

Tried several other zones and sub $40 prices without success. Then bid SEA 3* at $40, first bid accepted. Also got half off the lowest published airfare for my route, XNA-SEA. Bid at $175, got a counteroffer at $262.75 which was exactly half off the published fares. Accepted the counter.
