I ended up staying at the Hyatt and booked directly with them.
LAX 4* 12/16/17 $90
Here are the amenities: Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower.
I'm just laying over between flights the next day. Any idea which hotel this might be? There are couple other 4* listed at $113 and $111
$113: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
$111: Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
They are all so close in price that I'd probably stay at any of them. I've stayed at a few of the LAX hotels and they seem okay. Please let me know what you think. I can start a separate thread for the other two hotels if necessary. Thanks!
I'm willing to consider higher than $200 but prefer to find something under $200. I just figured if this five star was a really great deal I would consider it. Thanks!
If memory serves me right I ended up booking directly with the Sheraton Waikiki Beach for $199/night.
These are two totally different trips to Hawaii. I didn't report a win in March because I ended up booking directly with the hotel--not Hotwire or Priceline. I stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach @ $199 per night which I have now posted on that old thread. Now, can you give me an idea on the five star? Actually, I need to check to see if it is still on there. Thanks!
I am still searching for these dates and haven't made a decision
Maybe I should have stayed with the other thread? I am still looking for the same dates.
Here are the amenities and there aren't many listed:
Heart of Waikiki 1/4/16-1/8/16 5 star @261
FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services
Any idea what hotel this could be? Thanks!
It was the Hyatt as you had guessed. I had 50 Hotdollars to use so it was actually $133 for my purposes. Thanks for your help.
I was also thinking possibly the Hyatt. However, the current rate for the Hyatt is $206--much lower than the $240 indicated on Hotwire. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Any idea what hotel this might be? 85% recommended. TA 4 out of 5 1001=1500 reviews. Full amenities are:
FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
Thanks!
I'm considering the Sheraton Waikiki, maybe the Hyatt Regency, and I'm a little open to other options. I've stayed at the Sheraton many times and always under $200/night which is my budget. It's a big hotel but I like being on the water and the pool even though it is crowded. Probably the only hotel I would consider off the water is the Hyatt. Thanks!
I'm sorry I didn't mean it was in that zone but that it was a beachfront property. It is in the Waikiki Bay zone. I'm not interested in the Outrigger at that rate so I think I'll play with this one for awhile. Thanks!
Yay! It was the Hapuna Beach Prince!
Is your Hotwire hotel list up to date? If so it only lists 2-4star hotels--the other one being the Marriott which has different amenities. Do they sometimes have other hotels other than what is on your list? I realize you can't be certain.
I'm really torn on this one. I've used Hotwire many times and always been successful on guessing the right hotel. It seems like there are several 4 star hotels in the same area so I'm a little leery. I agree the amenities are exactly the same as those listed on a previous post. agh.......
The Hapuna Prince is exactly where I want to stay but I really don't want to end up with something else. What is the tipoff to you? I suppose I could book one night and then if we are right I could book the other four. Thoughts?
Here are the full amenities:
FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, In-room accessibility, Accessible parking
Any ideas on this one? They all sound similar to me.
Waikiki Beachfront January 4-8 $187 4 star
Here are the amenities:
FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Beachfront hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible bathroom
Any idea what hotel this is? Thanks!
Will do. Didn't realize I should stay with the same thread with different hotel. I was afraid it might be the Hilton or maybe Outrigger. Rates are coming down so it will be interesting to see what pops up. Thanks for your help.
Finally a hotel that is beachfront. Any idea which one?
4 Star Waikiki Beach March 14-17
$175/nite
FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
Right now I have reservation at Hyatt Regency @$230/night for ocean view as a backup.
My rate at the Hyatt is $234/nt for the three nights plus the resort fee of $26. I've seen the Royal Hawaiian at $293 plus $35 resort fee. I have had very good luck on Hot.wire in the past of getting rates as low as $130 at the Sheraton although that was two years ago. I found rates for the Grand Kauai last year at $191. So I'm hoping to see something like that become available for a beachfront hotel. At least under $200. Might be dreaming but that is my goal. I would pay a little more for the RH and my preference is beachfront. The Hyatt is sort of my backup position right now as I wanted to have something reserved.
I'm sorry--they probably are the same but just worded a little differently. I didn't think the first one listed golf nearby but now I see it does.
I'm looking for the Hyatt or possibly the Royal Hawaiian if I can catch a deal on that one. Maybe the Sheraton or one of the other beachfront hotels. I have reservations at the Hyatt and I'm just trying to see if I can get a better deal. I've ruled out most of the other 4 stars for one reason or another. Thanks again for your help. I'll keep an eye on things. I'm thinking it might be too early for the good deals on a direct beachfront hotel.
Here is another one at $183. I thought perhaps this was the same hotel as I originally quoted but the amenities seem to be different. Here they are:
FULL AMENITIES: Near beach, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
Do you think this could be the Hyatt Regency? Thanks!
Thanks! I think I'll wait this one out a little.
As we suspected it was the Renaissance. I decided to go ahead with the booking figuring it was a good deal for a layover near LAX. Thanks for your help!

Very sorry. I honestly thought I had finished up that thread. Hopefully all of the previous threads are closed now. I'll try to do better on this one. Yes, if I find a good rate I'm willing to book now. My flights are booked so unless there is some unforeseen circumstance I will need a room for the night of December 16. Thanks again.
