  1. Amenities: Kitchenette, business center, fitness center, pets, internet access, free internet Cheers
  2. Persistence pays off when you get a crap hotel. Listed as free internet, business center. 60% recommended. Watched for several days and it listed that people got several really nice hotels. Decided to go for it and got Villa Eugenie. Terrible bummer. Have you read the reviews? Right next to the train station. $765 all in which is barely less than going rate! Was going to just walk away and decided to call Hotwire. Talked to several people in a foreign country and asked to speak to supervisor. They tried to say I was toast. Explained that I was a frequent buyer and that this really was not a 4 star hotel and had really poor reviews. Finally reached supervisor in US who agreed that based on reviews it really was not a great hotel, said they would credit me on another hotel buy. Decided to not take chances and bid on a known quantity and now am staying at Citidines Les Halles! Kevin
  3. Listed with kitchenette free internet smoke free rooms. $112 per night plus fees bringing it to $1228. Also listed that 7 people got same hotel. This is going for around 175 to $200 so I am totally thrilled. I was also able to get Hot.wire to give me a credit after I got a dud hotel. Will list separately. Oh and of course used your Hot.wire link - about 5 times. Kevin
  4. I closed out other post. Ended up rescheduling and this is the rescheduled trip. Thanks. Kevin
  5. Postponed trip until this week, and used PRICELINE and your links and got the Marriott for $71/night. The Listel is now added on your list of Hotels and has been showing up regularly on both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. Kevin
  6. Great night for a hotel win. Started $65 4* Vancouver Downtown and got turned down. Added City Hall Area as free bid (where there are no 4* Hotels) and bid $71 instead of $70 because I was feeling like a bit of a spendthrift. Hit the Marriott which is the hotel I expected. Stayed here before using PRICELINE, and it is a great place. Also noticed that the Listel is going for $69 as a no bid option (3 1/2 star)so I had a cheap option to fall back on. The Listel is great, but it bugs me that they add on weird extras and super high parking. Used you HOTWIRE and your PRICELINE links. Regards. Kevin
  7. Looking for Vancouver Nov 22 - 24, 2013. Entertainment Dist. Prob. Sutton Place since only 5* on your list. 5*, $102, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Spa Services, Accessibility •In-room accessibility •Wheelchair accessible 3.5* $82 Pretty Sure Listel as only one listed with free internet Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Accessibility •In-room accessibility •Accessible bathroom •Handicapped parking Should I go for these or play the PRICELINE game? As always, used your links. I hope you are making millions on this, since it is my favorite site for travel. Kevin
  8. I started at $46 which is the rate that I saw on the board. Upped to $50 and downtown (knew that downtown would not hit at that rate). Had my wife try and got it at $55. Needed this area as it is near my MIL so I did not have play in my bid areas. Decided that it was not worth paying twice as much and cramming us into the Embassy Suites at full price. Christmas is actually a very busy time of year in this neighborhood. I have stayed at full hotels with lots of other people who did not all fit at grandma's house. Oh, I used your link for both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. Merry Christmas. Kevin
  9. Still seeing it Rate is $125. Now I am really pissed I did not hit the last hotel. K
  10. Looking to book 2 rooms 4/13-4/20. I think the hotel is the Holiday Inn Express, but I have checked it several times and the recommendation has gone from 40% to 70%. Also no free breakfast listed. I used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks. Kevin 3-star Hotel in Downtown - SoHo - Financial District This Hotel features the following amenities: Accessible for the deaf Free Internet Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower
  11. Planning a trip for next spring. Used your HOTWIRE link and found what seems to be a screaming deal for the Sheraton (rest, int, fitness, business, non smoking). Seems really early to buy now, but the deal appears as good as i am going to get. I am usually a PRICELINE user. But this is less than I paid for Times Square in January. What do you think? Kevin
  12. :) Bid $80 for Vancouver downtown. Raised to $85 using City Hall free bid zone. Of course I used your link. Could have probably saved a few dollars, but not worth my time to raise by $1 to $2 each time. Vancouver is great for free bid zones as there are only two areas with 4* hotels.
  13. Forgot to add amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet
  14. Did this a month ago. Did not have time to fool around with PRICELINE to try for the Crowne Plaza in the same area, and so used the hotel list which was accurate that this was the hotel. At hotel now, and it is exactly as expected, no better no worse. And, of course, as always I used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks.
  15. Not sure what is going on. Although I can access this site from other places, I cannot do so from my home. It seems that the site is blocked from my ip address as I cannot access from any computer in my house. Any ideas? Please help as I have used this site many times to get hotels.
  16. It is the Marriott Regents Park. A 4* property. The only issue will be internet for my son. Guess I will find him an internet cafe.
  17. Decided to try priceline and take my chances. Got a 4* Regents Park for $115. Have posted it on board.
  18. Started: Regency Park 90 Bloomsbury 95 Mayfair 100 Westminster 110 The City 111 Kensington $115 struck after 15 minute wait. Got 2 rooms. Not totally downtown, but not way out either. I am pretty darn happy. Oh yeah, I used your link. Kevin
  19. We want to get two rooms. Would like to get a two bedded room for the kids and double/queen for ourselves. Would like to end up under $125 each which would probably be in the burbs. If we could end up with 3* close in even better. Thanks.
  20. Looking to try Priceline for July 2011 as all that is currently in my budget are family rooms in B&Bs that are still running around $200. How do I make sure that I get a room with twin beds. My two teenagers would not be happy sharing. Have already clicked your PL and HOTWIRE links several times today on my search. Thanks.
  21. I purchased a 4* hotel for $145 in Times Square (restaurant, business center, gym, high speed internet, and 90% customer approval rating) for 1/21/11 to 1/24/11 used your link. Figured it was the Millenium which was fine for the price. Hoped for something better. Got the Millenium. No worries.
