  1. I used your QUICKQUOTE-Tool to access PRICELINE.com and started bidding.. ... 4*, Frankfurt (West): 58 USD ... NOT ACCEPTED ... but I received a counter offer (67 USD). ... I added Frankfurt (East): 60 USD ... ACCEPTED: MARITIM HOTEL FRANKFURT. So I did not get the Moevenpick (which I saw quite often here on betterbidding.com) but the Maritim Hotel Frankfurt. All together (incl. fees & taxes) it's 138.12 USD (about 110 EUR, which is quite nice; Expedia.de-Price is over 300 EUR) .
  2. Another "Munich-Marriott-62US$-Win" Started with 60 US$, ... received counteroffer 69 US$, ... added "Munich South" (which currently has no 4*) ... and bid 62 US$ ... Accepted. Incl. Fees & Taxes it's 142.50 US$ (54 EUR per night which is fine).
  3. Used your PRICELINE Quickquote-Tool to enter my Check-In/Check-Out data (04/13/12-04/15/12)... ... and started bidding for Munich (City Centre North), 4*, 60 USD. ... Received a counteroffer 70 USD,... ... refused the offer and re-bid 62 USD (adding Munich (South)): Success. Total incl. Taxes & Fees is USD 142,50 for 2 nights (about 55 EUR per night; booking via marriott.com is 109 EUR per night for these dates: saved 50% ).
  4. And another win to be reported: Used your PRICELINE link and first bid was successful: 5* Cologne, USD 60 – got the Marriott Cologne. Totel incl. taxes & fees is USD 142.44 so about EUR 55 per night which is very nice. Greetings from Germany!
  5. I just realized that I had forgotten to post this successful bid (I won it on 15DEC2011): MTW, MTE, TS, 4*: 1st bid: USD 145
  6. Yesterday: I used your PRICELINE-Link to go to PRICELINE and started bidding: Tried 35 USD on 3* Dusseldorf (West - Neuss) and got rejected. Added Dusseldorf (Central), tried 40 USD and got rejected again. Today: Used your PRICELINE link again and started bidding: Tried 47 USD on 3* Dusseldorf (West - Neuss) and got rejected. Added Dusseldorf (Central), tried 52 USD and was successful! I got the 4* (!) Renaissance Dusseldorf Hotel. Incl. Taxes & Fees it's USD 120.60 for two nights. (Tha's about EUR 92.50 – on booking.com it's EUR 170, that's 46% off ;) – so maybe the hotel was listed for EUR 45/night in PRICELINE's system.) Happy holidays to everyone!
  7. I tried bidding for San Diego for 03/22/2012-03/31/2012 for several weeks now and usually went up twice a week to about 120 USD per night without any success. I will be attending a conference during the last week of March 2012 in San Diego and hotel rooms contracted by the conference's organizers start at 185 USD. Today I received a 5 USD/night Bonus Cash (up to 50 USD) so I decided to bid again. I wanted to stay in a 4* hotel and I wanted to stay downtown: so a lot of rebid zones. I redeemed my bonus cash, ... closed priceline.com, ... went to betterbidding.com and reaccessed PRICELINE.com using your link, ... logged in to my account and started bidding: my bid 71 USD... + bonus = “real bid” 76 USD... no success my bid 76 USD... + bonus = “real bid” 81 USD... no success my bid 80 USD... + bonus = “real bid” 85 USD... no success my bid 82 USD... + bonus = “real bid” 87 USD... no success my bid 84 USD... + bonus = “real bid” 89 USD... SUCCESS... ... The W San Diego. Incl. fees & taxes it's 877.05 USD in total. (The cancelable 3* hotel which I blocked in case of no PRICELINE or HOTWIRE success was 1.100 USD) I’m very happy... very, very happy! The W has prices on their website starting at 319 USD per night (on Expedia.com it's avg. 328 USD per night)... so I saved 68% (comparing it to my price incl. fees & taxes)!! B)
  8. Seems like I am only winning Hyatt today: I used your link to PRICELINE and started USD 50
  9. Sorry for the spelling error. Of course it is the Hyatt On Capitol Square and not the Hyatt On Capital Square :)
  10. I used your link to PRICELINE and started USD 40
  11. I also like to add my "failed" bids history on Venice 06/30/11-07/03/11: I started bidding about two weeks ago on 5* and increased daily. Yesterday I stopped at 250 USD. I started wondering if there is a hotel on PRICELINE in principle available or not when I checked HOTWIRE: During my dates, there is no 5*-Deal in Venice available (only Hotels.com-Offers). I just checked your dates on HOTWIRE... 03/05/11-03/08/11: there also is no 5* available.
  12. I tried the bidding strategy written above about every 2 to 3 weeks. This week I decided to go down to 3.5* and started on Monday with MTE/CS/MTW/TS 70 to 85 (with rebid zones CI, LIC, UES) - no success, then Tuesday same areas 90 to 105 - no success, then Wednesday same areas 110, 115: offered "Rebid at 145 USD", 120, 123: no success, then Today same areas 125: no success, 128 SUCCESS: The Roosevelt Hotel Thursday, March 31, 2011 to Sunday, April 3, 2011, My Offered Price: 128 USD Subtotal: 384 USD Total Charges: 476.01 USD. I'm quite happy with this result. And of course I used your PRICELINE link to start bidding all the time!
  13. Thank you for your replies. I think we'll wait and try again. We have The Bentley hotel booked with free cancellation until 03/29/11 for about 200 USD incl. all fees and taxes (so it equals a 160-165 USD bid on PRICELINE.com). I'll keep you updated.
  14. Hi, I just did exactly what you proposed... but was not successful. All bids were rejected. Should I wait some weeks and then try again the same strategy?
  15. Thank you for your reply. We are willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* ... ... and our maximum bid would be "cheaper than anything else available" or in numbers about 200 USD plus taxes and fees.
  16. Hi everyone, We were really lucky to book a very cheap flight from Switzerland to NYC and back for EUR 250 per Person (about 330 USD) and now we are looking for nice hotel – 4* or 3.5* – from 03/31/11 to 04/03/11. The area does not really matter... as long as it is in Manhattan and a subway station is within 10 min walking distance. Any bidding recommendations? What price should be the starting price in bidding?
  17. Hi, I'm new to priceline; actually I'm German and here in Germany I've never hear of it before and accidentally found priceline.com two days ago. Because I will be staying in Amsterdam 12/10/10-12/12/10 (having already booked a cancelable 3* hotel incl. breakfast for 216 EUR which is about 290 USD), I tried two day ago with 5* 80 USD 4* 70 USD then yesterday with 5* 95 USD (I was offered a rebid with 120 USD which I refused) 4* 80 USD... ... and succeeded: 2 nights in the Nh Amsterdam Centre for 187.60 USD incl. fees & taxes (which is about 143 EUR) - of course my 290 USD offer is now already canceled :) Now I found your site and I'm happy to post my first priceline.com-result. Greetings from Germany, beryllium ***** Please excuse spelling and grammar mistakes as I'm a non-native speaker.
