  2. Hotel looks...interesting. I read the Priceline rooms are usually facing the noisy train tracks. Anyone know if I could pay a fee to upgrade to a seaside room? Overall, happy with the win as something like Hotel Max was running $150/night.
  3. The Crowne Paza does not offer free internet in the rooms, although they do in the lobby apparently...Could this be included as an amenity? Also, the "price on other sites" is $184, more in line with the Crowne. The Red Lion is over $200.
  4. Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access, Free Internet Trip Advisor rating: 4 out of 5 I'm thinking this is the Red Lion, as the Mayflower and Crowne Plaza do not offer Free Internet. Also, the Mayflower has a higher Tripadvisor rating. My only worry is the inclusion of the Silver Cloud Inn Stadium in this area as it includes some of the same amenities and this may be a new set. Price is $109/night
  5. This was an easy ID as "Suite" is listed in the amenities list. Listed amenities: Suites Comp Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Laundry Facilities Hi-Speed Internet. Just checked again and price is up to $234
  6. Ended up getting Embassy Suites on Hotwire for $229. Pretty good deal for 4* at this time of year I think. I was up to $210 using various areas on Priceline. The Hotwire Hotel list allowed me to easily ID this hotel before purchace. Thaks for the great services provided here.
  7. I'd prefer TS, CPS, MTW or MSG. DT, HK, Chelsea, MTE, ESB, UWS and UES would be fine as well. What is the verdict on LIC and Brooklyn? Safe? Easy to get to a subway?
  8. Hi, I've been visiting this board for about a month now, and find it extremely useful in using Priceline. I have made several unsuccessful bids for an upcoming trip to New York from Oct 7-12. Of course, hotels are extremely expensive at this time (helped by the long weekend I'm assuming). I was hoping to find something for around $200/night. $250 maybe. Anything 3* and up would be adequate I think. We plan on experiencing the city and only using the hotel for sleep. We would prefer to stay in Manhattan, preferably in the Times Square district, but as long as we were close (10min or less) to a subway, I think we'd be fine. Just by browsing the net, we found "The Time" hotel for ~$266/night. I'm hoping to find something similar for a lower price. I would appreciate a strategy that I can follow when bidding on a hotel. Thanks for any help. Cheers.
