  1. Haven’t checked in here in a while but I made my bid using the PRICELINE search. With that said, had hoped for the Hyatt or Le Meridien for the area but as people say in France...c’est la vie! Amenities include: Fitness Center, Business Center, Restaurant, No Smoking Rooms, and Handicapped Facilities.
  2. Doesn't appear that this week there are great bidding deals but after staying at this hotel, I can't complain. Newly renovated clean rooms and comfortable beds. Only downside is that if your room has a connecting door to the other rooms, then the activity is quite audible. Thanks BB. And I did use the PRICELINE link to make make bid.
  3. Started at $95 and finally hitting the board at $111. I used BetterBidding to make my bids using the PRICELINE link above. Thanks
  4. 1st bid was accepted for $52. Convenient to airport, free parking, and wifi. Never stayed at property before. I'm happy. I don't ever book a hotel until checking Betterbidding and it always pays off. I used to PRICELINE link above.
  5. Tried all sorts of combinations with no luck, finally ending up with this property. Kinda underwhelmed but I've never stayed at this property before but happy I kept the price within my budget. I used the PRICELINE link above.
  6. Not sure how I pulled it off with my bid but considering this time of year, I got a steal. I always check BetterBidding before I make hotel reservations. And of course I use the PRICELINE link above.
  7. No cost to park on street on Sundays and free in-room wifi. Woot! Woot! I used the PRICELINE link above to make my bidding.
  8. Stayed at this property before. Sketchy area at night but I'll be sleeping so worth the price. I used BetterBidding again to price my bid using the PRICELINE link above.
  9. First Bid $55 at 4 stars Second Bid $50 at 3.5 stars Third Bid $40 at 3 stars Last Bid $42 at 2.5 stars Looking at the reviews online, appears to be a decent property. Once again, BetterBidding was a great help. I used the PRICELINE link above to make my bidding.
  10. Followed someone's bidding strategy from earlier post... Bid Fishermans Wharf 3.5* at $62 was offered $77 to accept. Rebid with offer of $64, added Financial District zone and was denied. Rebid with offer of $65, adding USE zone and was accepted. Final Offer Price: $65.00 Taxes & Fees: $17.64 Total Charges: $82.64 Very satisfied with my winning bid and the property is fantastic to boot. Once again, I used BetterBidding to help me save money and I used the PRICELINE link above to make my bid.
  11. Tried 2.5* yesterday and bid up to $68 with no luck. I put in a bid today for 2.5* in Fishermans Wharf area for $75. I was hoping to get the Holiday Inn Express. To my suprise, my bid was accepted for the Marriott property which is listed as a 3.5* property. Happy with the result. I used the PRICELINE link above to make my bid. Thanks BB.
  12. Is the Hilton a property down in the Embarcadero? Or are you referring to the Hyatt?
  13. Bid was accepted on first try. I used the PRICELINE link above for making my bids. I've stayed at this property before and looking forward to it again. Thank you BB.
  14. Original bid of $75 for the dates 2/5/11-2/11/11 was rejected. Changed dates down to 2/8/11 and was accepted. I used the PRICELINE link to make my bid. Thanks Better Bidding for helping me make my bids.
  15. I can attest to the parking. Hotel parking is a ripoff. Definitely try to find an independent outdoor parking lot. Weekday rates will still run about $15-$20 per day. The lower end is the early bird rate. You might find the weekend daily rates to run about $10/day but the lots are located down south of market in the financial district area. If you are interested in Fisherman's Wharf, I recommend you try your luck bidding with the Embarcadero area. I usually end up with the Grand Hyatt. It's a short trip to Fisherman's Wharf by street trolley, which is a hop and a skip away. It's also a long 5-6 block walk to Union Square.
  16. Meh.... No luck with $50 for 4*. Changed to 3.5* and $45 without success. Changed locations and bid to $50. Hotel website rate is $69. Not elated nor disappointed with the win. Not much of a deal but I guess money in the pocket is money in the pocket. Also supposedly internet is free. I've always enjoyed my stays w/ Sheraton properties. I used the the PRICELINE link above.
  17. Bid $50-$55 for 4* and 3.5* in areas within SFO with no luck. Bid $45-48 for 3* and no luck. Satisfied with the result. Free shuttle to airport great for a 7am flight. I used the PRICELINE link above. Better bidding helped me make good bidding decisions once again.
  18. Bid was accepted after trying $51-$53. Happy with the outcome! Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $55.00 (USD) Room Subtotal: $55.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $15.33 (USD) Total Room Cost: $70.33 (USD) Thanks again better bidding. I used the PRICELINE link above.
  19. Decided to give the SFO North location a try since I've been getting no luck with at 3.5* and 4* as high as $85 within SFO area. Although I think I could have put in a lower bid, I'm pleased with the property. I have a 7am flight in the morning, so the shuttle and close proximity to the airport makes it a great deal. I used the PRICELINE link above to make my bid. Thanks BB!
  20. I've been trying the dates for 10/2-10/5 with no such luck but my max has been $115. I've decided to stay in San Jose instead. Priceline Win #1 Winning Priceline Bid #2
  21. First try rejected at $70 and 4* for San Jose, Palo Alto, Cupertino, Santa Clara/Sunnyvale for 10/3/10-10/4/10. Given option to increase bid by $20. Second try rejected at $70 and 3.5* for same areas. Won on third try at $77 and 4* for same areas and changed dates to 10/3/10-10/05/10. I used the PRICELINE link. Never stayed at a Fairmont Hotel before.
  22. Got tired of trying for San Francisco area so I am quite happy my bid was accepted for $50 on the first try. I used the PRICELINE link above. Thank you BetterBidding.
  23. The San Francisco Marathon was being held that weekend and the Hyatt was the event sponsor.
  24. First bid accepted for Financial District location. The hotel upgraded me to a balcony room for no additional charge upon arrival.
