  1. Tried with Priceline @ $65 and $70 starting with Strip North Vicinity (No longer says "condo"), then adding Strip North, and Strip South - No luck. However, Hotwire had 5* available in Strip North for $80, previously identified as likely to be Trump. It's what I expected and appears to be an awesome rate at this hotel for a Tuesday through Friday stay. It'll be our first time at Trump, so I'll post a review when we return. I remembered to click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on betterbidding to start the search process. Thank you for the board and for all the notes and feedback on hotel choices. Sincerely, Smit1219
  2. Just a quick note, I checked HOTWIRE again, and the price for my same stay dates has increased to $65. That by itself wouldn't cause alarm, but the reviews piece just below the price said "100% recommended" when I made my reservation. Now, it reads "We are still gathering reviews for this property." Just be aware, you may end up with something else... Isn't the Residence Inn up there too? I've stayed at the Fullerton Residence Inn and its good, but the breakfast doesn't compare with Embassy Suites. Just FYI.
  3. 9/4-9/11 @ $64/night. Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Pool, Biz Center. (100% Customer Recomended) I was orginally looking for Something closer to Disney, but for the extra few minutes in the car, I'll take the free parking, two rooms, and made-to-order breakfast... Thanks!
  4. I can confirm. For me, it was the Embassy Suites, as of early Saturday morning. I have not yet posted my reservation details, but will do so shortly (I used the HOTWIRE link :).
  5. I'd like to end up in the Disneyland North or South Zones, 3.5 star for the 4th through the 11th. Ideally, I'd like to end up with the Crowne, the Hilton, or the Doubletree for around $65. I've seen that happen in the past, but very little is booked out on my current dates. My current plan is to wait until about 6 weeks out, then start around $50 and work my way up to $65. if I'm unsuccessful, I'll wait a few days and repeat the same process. If we get to 4 weeks and haven't got an accepted bid, then I'd consider raising the max bid. I would prefer not to try to expand out past the disney area.
  6. Hello to all...new to the forum, and excited to be here. We're planning a Disney vacation in Anaheim from 9/4 through 9/11. I've read the Getting Started Thread and understand the rebid zones and such. I plan to begin bidding here in a few weeks (starting at 6 weeks out, and then getting more serious at 4 weeks). My primary question is on the actual bid itself. Given that my first two days are part of a holiday weekend, do you think I'm going to get "stuck" with a higher daily rate for the entire trip length? In other words, would I be better off bidding for a hotel on the 4th and 5th, and then a separate bid for the 6th through the 11th? I know that could mean a hotel change (not excited), but I also don't want to end up paying $80+ every night for the whole week in a 3.5 star. Thoughts?
