  1. Amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Note: There was a $13 fee to park our car in their parking lot. My only complaint is that the window did not completely seal, so some cold air was getting in. However, the heater and warm blankets made it not a huge deal. Otherwise, it was a good hotel for 3*. Also, no charge for the wireless internet in the room, which was nice.
  2. Stayed at Hotel Phillips this past weekend. It's a nice boutique hotel. Not sure I'd give it 4 stars, as it is currently listed on hotwire, but 3 1/2 is probably fair. Internet in the room is $10 for 24 hours. No minibar or refrigerator. Comfortable bed. My favorite part of the hotel was the great bar/grill on the first floor. If you like jazz, then this is the place. On Friday night, it was a very fun band for swing dancing. Sax, Trumpet, guitar, bass and drums. Even took a request for Minnie the Mooche. Finished up with When The Saints... as it was Easter weekend. Be sure to hit Arthur Bryant's (a few miles away) for some great BBQ.
  3. Just booked the Pan Pacific for $152/night. Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Business The cheapest rate on their website was $206/night. I knew this one would either be the Clift or the Pan Pacific. Was actually hoping for the Clift, but I'm sure Pan Pacific is excellent. kev
  4. It worked well, I actually ended up booking two nights. I arrived very late the first night and didn't get a great room, but for $44 it was fine. The next time a few nights later, I arrived earlier and got a much nicer room. Note that they technically charge for parking, but I never had to pay. If you leave early or late enough, the gates are up. It's kind of a random procedure. Once when leaving, the gate was down, but the shuttle bus came by and hit his clicker to open it for me. They give you cookies when you arrive. Yum!
  5. Hi, Just booked the Doubletree for $44 ($56 w/taxes) on 6/2. 3* Doubletree Customer Favorite Amenities: Shuttle, Restaurant, Fitness, Business Thanks, Kevin
  6. Gotcha, you're correct, I didn't close and open the browser. I'll remember that for next time. Yes, those were the Amenities listed and it was still listed as a Customer Favorite (or something like that) and was 3 1/2 stars in the City Center West section. I've already started spreading the word on BetterBidding, and I'll definitely be back again! kevgeek
  7. My first time using price line and so I probably goofed somewhere, but after choosing my last zone and bidding $68, I was denied and the zones then disappeared from the screen that allowed me to change my bid. I also wasn't ever able to unselect a zone after I had selected it and used it in a bid. If I did something wrong, let me know and I'll try to be wiser next time around. ;-) But I went back and read what you added in a previous post. I booked the Wyndham on Hotwire for $65: 1 room(s) @ $65.00 per night x 1 night(s) $65.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $14.95 Hotel Subtotal $79.95 Total Price $79.95 I'm totally thrilled with the price! Thanks so much for all of your help. I've rarely found such an incredibly useful site on the web! Thanks again, Kevgeek
  8. Thanks for the help so far. I followed the bidding strategy with one small change, on the last bid ($58), I bid $65 instead. Still no dice. I have one zone left, as you noted. Do you have a suggested price for the final bid? Thanks again for all the help! Kevgeek
  9. I've decided to come to Philly on Saturday to see the Sixers vs Kings. I will be staying just the one night, Sat 2/26. Would like to stay in Downtown Philly at a 4* hotel. Any suggestions/strategies for last minute bidding on Priceline would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone knows should I drive to the game or take public transportation? Thank you, Kevgeek
