  1. Hi, Note that there will be toronto international film festival from Sept 8 to Sept 18. So, the prices are very high during this period. Check this post: Priceline Toronto Film Festival this was the best I was able to get. Good luck in your search.
  2. I finally got it. I won Bond Place for $110 per night. It is 2.5* in Downtown North. Excellent location and excellent review. Of course, I used the PRICELINE link on the board. Thank you all for your help.
  3. Just for your information, after bidding $ 130 for 4*, priceline suggested that I add $35 to get a room for $165. Also, after bidding $125 for 3*, priceline suggested that I add $35 to a get a room for $160. I will keep bidding for a better deal.
  4. Well, I made a refundable booking at ~130 per night in Super 8 Downtown Toronto. I will keep bidding 3* (or more) for $100-120 per night. I may also include Toronto Downtown North since it is not that far from Westin Harbour. Let me know your opinion about my current plan. Thanks everyone.
  5. Thanks for your reply. I prefer not to split bids. I bid for 4* (up to 100), 3.5* (up to 90).,and 3* (up to 75) and all got rejected (I used the PRICELINE links on the board). I will try to bid more in few days. Do you think it is better to wait and bid on the first week of August? You know, I still don't understand why the dates I picked are so expensive. August usually is more expensive the Sept. Is there a big event on the dates I selected? Thanks again for your help.
  6. I am in the same boat. I am still unclear why the prices are too high for September; it is much higher than July and August even though I think July and August are more touristy in Toronto. If you don't mind can you please share more information about the apartment you rented. Thanks
  7. Hello, I want to book a hotel room in Toronto Downtown South using Priceline or Hotwire (3* or 4*). I am attending a conference in Westin Harbour Castle, and I prefer an hotel nearby. Budget is less than $100 per night. I shopped around in Hotwire and found the prices very high in this time of the year ($160 per night and above). Am I too early or probably too late? I would appreciate your help. Thanks
  8. Hi, Can you please share with us how did you get the Priceline $50 bonus cash promotion? Thanks!
  9. As a follow up question, will the car rental agency "force" you to buy their insurance (which will be extra to what you paid to priceline)? I heard some rental agencies do that; i know that Enterprise DOESN'T, since they always give you the choice whether to buy their insurance or not. The reason behind my question is that I already have insurance through my VISA card. By the way, i am booking a car in Ontario, Canada. Thanks
  10. Hello guys, Thank you for the wonderful and very informative forum. This is my second win in PRICELINE. Hotel name: Quality Suites Quebec. Price per night: $53.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $106.00 (US dollars) Taxes and Fees: $26.10 (US dollars) Total Charges: $132.10 (US dollars) The good thing about this hotel is that it has: free parking, free continental breakfast, free wireless internet. That saves a lot of money because parking can cost a minimum of $18 close to downtown. and of course, i used the forum PRICELINE link :)
  11. Hi, I tried PRICELINE and I WON!! This is my first time i use priceline. I started my bidding with $ 50 for 3* in Quebec downtown. Surprisingly, it got accepted by Best Western City Center :) :) (27/06 to 28/06) I believe it is a very good deal. Thank you guys. I used the forum PRICELINE link.
  12. Thank you for your reply. I will definitely use the HOTWIRE link posted in this website when i purchase something. By the way, i made a new post because these 2 hotels belong to different cities; however, it is perfectly fine with me to merge them in one post :)
