  1. I'm curious as to why the rates are so much higher that week. :)
  2. Got this hotel for $75 pre-taxes. Looks great, I wish I had more time to stay at Baltimore. Used the PRICELINE link, of course.
  3. I read around some more and decided to skip the 3.5* option. Had no luck with 4*, up to ~ $145. Ended up bidding $115 for a 3* and got the Doubletree Hotel, from 6/25-6/27. My first time using Priceline, and I learned a lot from here. I used the PRICELINE link, and hope I did it correctly.
  4. I am considering a visit to Baltimore. How much was the winning bid?
  5. We're willing to take the risk regarding the beds. Worst case scenario, one of my friends has the option of staying with family at NJ (they have a small guest room). I do have a $10 credit per night which I plan to use, so it would effectively bump the budget to $85-$100. I'd try a 4* first, of course, but if it seems unrealistic, then 3.5* it is.
  6. You got it, just did both. NJ dates are from 6/25 - 6//27 (could also consider staying on 6/24). I'd say the budget would be around $75 - $90 before taxes. 3 adults on one room, which probably means I should go for 3.5* - 4* to be comfortable, right?
  7. Hi all, I'm new to using PRICELINE and have spent the last few days reading around, and am clear on how the rebid process works. I'm planning a small trip with a couple of friends that will end in the NJ/NY area on the last weekend of June. I'm looking at NJ because of the savings, of course. We want to stay at a hotel as near as possible to a PATH station, so that leads me to believe that the best option would be Jersey City. I know there's also the Hilton near the Newark Penn Station, but there are various 3.5*'s in that area, so there's no guarantee I'd get it. So, if I choose Jersey City, what star ratings should I be looking at? I'm guessing none of the hotels at the area have free parking, right? I'd believe that any 4*'s would meet this criteria, but any additional help will be appreciated.
