Thank you - lesson learned for next time. It dawned on me after I did it. Works much better when I'm willing to be patient and thoughtful.

My PRICELINE bid began at $75 USD which was not accepted. PRICELINE said if I raised my bid by $18 it would likely work and it did. For $93 + fees I got the Sheraton Center Toronto Hotel. It looks like $93 is about 50% off if I don't consider the US exchange. This is my first experience of posting on a board so I don't know if this is where I should be posting or not, but I appreciate everyone sharing their information here as it makes me a more informed consumer.

I bid $130 for the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview for July 3rd on Priceline, which was rejected. So, I bid $140 and changed the date to July 8th which was accepted. With the fees and taxes it cost $167.51 USD which I'm not convinced is such a great price as rooms seem to be going for $199 CAD plus 13% tax on most other travel sites for their least expensive rooms. I am hopeful that we can talk them into upgrading us which will make it a much better deal. Love this site and look forward to more successful bidding in the future. Looks like a nice hotel and I saved some money although maybe I could have maximized. Thanks.
