Can't say I'm pleased about how much I have to pay to be in SF for this weekend but after hours of trying to find a hotel I have snagged the Hilton at SFO. I started at $70 and it took me, through $5 increments, up to $145 to get a room. I have been trying in the downtown area for hours and hours without success so I decided to move out to the airport. My advice, don't go to SF for this weekend. I used the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Thanks.

I have tried from 150-175 for a 3.5* in SoMA, USE, USW, Fisherman's and Financial still no luck...

I'm looking for a room from 10/19-21 in downtown SF. The prices are absolutely exorbitant. I have tried rebidding all the way up to $205 but I don't really want to go above that (I used the 6 zones). What are the quality of the 3* hotels in the downtown area? Should I just book the airport and take the BART from the airport daily? Thanks in advance.

Started at 70 for 3.5* ended up somehow selecting 3* (I'm tired...) got the Ohana Waikiki West for 90. Used the BB PRICELINE Links.

Maybe the admins on the site can give me their expertise. I successfully won (and I posted the win), the Westin Ka'anapali for Oct 21-25/13 for $165 per night. After the win I found out that the Westin is undergoing serious renovations/construction that will likely affect my experience. As such, Priceline refunded my reservation. My question is this: How can I avoid getting this property again through either Priceline Express OR HOTWIRE. I am afraid of receiving this again. I know that naming my price will likely yield this hotel for the ka'anapli area. THanks!

I started at 140 and worked up to 165. I would like to mention though that Priceline allowed me to CANCEL this reservation because the Westin is undergoing serious renovations with intermittent noise from 9-5.
