  1. Used several rebid zones starting my PRICELINE bidding from around $89/night. Got Anaheim Marriott Suites on our second to last rebid zone. Greg
  2. Use bid strategy Saturday 9/13 from $155-195...no luck. Started at $195 on sunday and won at $222.
  3. Thanks better bidding. I appreciate your help on a great hotel win. Thanks, Greg
  4. Just went through the strategy. Won the Affinia Shelburne in Empire State Building area for $223/night. 1 room / 4 nights. 6/7-6/10. Getting ready to read a little about the hotel but excited about the win. Hopefully a nice property. Greg
  5. Are these zones acceptable to most folks going on a theatre/tourist trip? If so I think they would be fine for us. Greg
  6. Sorry, I missed your post. Yes $220 would be fine. Maybe even a little above that. I still have a few weeks to bid and see. Greg
  7. Thanks for pulling up my previous post. Just bid on MTE, MTW, and TS with all the rebid zones from 160-199 with no luck. I am still probably a little low. I will try again tomorrow with higher numbers. Any additional advice on strategy would be great. Greg
  8. First time to New York. Wife and I are celebrating an anniversary and would like to stay in Manhattan near shows and tourist things. Looking for a four star, and based on my reading, the zones MTE, MTW, TS, ESB, and maybe CPS. I'm familiar with the bid zones but would love a strategy. Also, I haven't seen many wins posted for this weekend. What would be a good place to start bidding? I know it is a busy time of year. Not to worried about the cost, just want a good deal and good location. Any advice would be appreciated. Greg
  9. That was the one. Had no idea that was 10 years ago. Is it still pretty accurate? Heading to New York to do the tourist thing (15th anniversary). We are going to several plays and want to see a few sites. We would like a 4* or better. What would be a good place to start on the bidding? I'm aware of the rebidding zones (7). But what is a typical win for early June? I already when through the bidding process on priceline with no success(140-175) using mte,mtw and south central park. Thoughts, Greg
  10. Thereuare, Im looking for a post I read previously that described the downtown new york zones and gave your opinion of each. I even remember you referencing a bagel shop in one area. Do you know of the one I'm asking. If so will you post and give me the link. Thanks, Greg

  14. Anyone have any ideas where I could find the best rental car rates? Is priceline good in this area as well? Any info would be appreciated. greg

  17. thanks for the quick reply, We are planning to arrive on Monday June 13 and stay through Friday June 17th. 4 nights. We would love to be on the beach and it would be a bummer to bid to high for the location more inland. Would bidding the same $69 help get the beach location? Also do you want us to use another link to help support this message board?
  18. How would I get Hyatt huntington beach vs Hyatt Newporter? I would prefer the Hunting ton Beach Hyatt? I'm vacationing in early June. Any info would be helpful.
  19. Hi, I'm new to the priceline web site. I have read a bunch of these posts and I have a question. I will be in Anehiem the 2nd week of June for a 4 night stay, and would like to stay at a 4* on the beach, or as close as possible. I see the 2 Hyatt's in the "Newport, Hunington Beach" area and I was wondering of there is a strategy to get the Hyatt Huntingtion Beach vs. the Newporter? Do I just have to take my chances and hope for the best? Also I've seen a post on the Huntington beach Hyatt for $69/ night is that a good place to start? Any input would be great, Thanks
