I saw on another website that the Hyatt regency Miami has been open for business since at least Oct. 26th. They were allowing cancellations without penalty until Oct. 28th. So it appears that all is well there. This info. came from a couple of people who live in the area.

Sorry, The reason I didn't post again on this thread was because I was unable to get anything on Priceline and just decided to go with the Amerisuites through Valuetrips for $79. My apologies!!

Hotel has amenities listed as Near Beach, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Center. It is Listed For $62/night for 12/10/05. I think it may be the Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale Beach....any thoughts?

Received Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale beach for $68 12/10/05. Started out bidding for DT zone $63 (Rejected) added Beach zone and increased to $68 and was accepted.

I have a question about wording.... Does near beach and beach access mean the same thing? In the Hotwire list of hotels it lists "beach access" as an amenity for the Holiday Inn Ft. lauderdale Beach, but the above post states "near beach" as an amenity for the hotel. I also just saw on Hotwire 3* Ft. Lauderdale Beach with amenities: Near beach, restraurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center and Business Center for $64/nite 12/10/05. Could this be the Holiday Inn ft. Lauderdale Beach? Sounds like it to me, but wanted to get some reassurance. We are already booked there through Priceline, but we need another room and now we don't want to chance gettting a different hotel by going through Priceline...so thought we'd give Hotwire a try this time! Forgot to mention that it is also listed as a Best Value

Could anyone help identify this hotel? It is listed as a 3 1/2 * in the Ft. lauderdale beach zone. Amenities include: Hotel, Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, and Business Center. Thanks for any help!
