I bid $80 for a four star hotel in the Downtown Austin area and it was accepted! Taxes/fees were $20, so my total was $100. The best rate on the Omni site was 209 + tax. Not too bad! :D Of course I used the PRICELINE link to place my bid.
Started out bidding in the Grand Canyon area, first bid $50, but it was rejected. Added the 2 star option and upped the bid to $55, and was rejected again. 24 hours later, I tried again and my bid of $58 was accepted! Total with taxes/fees is $71.17
What a great website - I'm glad I stumbled upon it to help me out with my Priceline bidding! I started out bidding $32, 2* in the Glendale-Peoria Area and Phoenix West zones. I wasn't successful so I added Downtown Phoenix and upped my bid to $35. It was accepted and the total with taxes and fees was $46.62. Of course I used this PRICELINE link to make my bids! :) Ross
