  1. I won a priceline bid for the Crowne Plaza, staying a week in Nov. 09. After I won, I waited a week and then called the hotel, requesting that I have two beds. They put me down for the beds, so my wife, daughter and I had no troubles. Also, if you request the 8th or 9th floor, you will get a free frig in the room - we were given the tip on this forum, did it, got the fridge at no cost as they are in those rooms. Good luck.
  2. I bid 40, 45 and was turned down but accepted for $48 a night 11/7-11/14 - you got me beat! Maybe it was because I had a weekend in there, too. I will be at the Crowne Plaza too, my first time. Others have said it is as good as the Hyatt. Enjoy.
  3. Yes, pick your zone and do your starting bid. If turned down, you can expand the area and bid again right away. Or you can wait 24 hours and you can rebid on the first zone only, increasing your bid (you have to wait 24 hours between bids, unless you change the areas or the date of travel). It looks like most of the 3.5 stars are going for 45-48 a night, from what I have seen. Hope this helps.
  4. Thanks for the tips - I was going to request a fridge, but I'll try just asking for the 8th or 9th floor. We are parking, so I'll try the way in you described. :)
  5. No guarantee on walking distance with PRICELINE. I'd advise you to bid around 42-50 dollars for a 3.5 star - 85.00 is way too high for that. I just got the 3.5 star Crowne Plaza (not within walking distance) for $48 a night. Most hotels do have shuttles to Disneyland, though.
  6. I just won on PRICELINE, using betterbidding's link. My history on bids for a 3.5 star hotel is: $40, turned down, $45 turned down, $48 accepted - Crowne Plaza Hotel, dates are Nov 7-14, 2009. I have stayed at Hilton, Doubletree, and Hyatt thru priceline, this is a first for the Crowne. I know they have parking/resort fees, but so do all the others. Hope it is nice.
  7. We stayed here for a week in May 2009, and loved it ($45.00 on Priceline). They do charge a hefty parking fee, but most 3-4 star hotels do. Large room, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, could watch the fireworks at Disneyland from our window. We even had an earthquake and aftershock two days later in the room. Only problem I had was there was no warning sign for wet paint on the pillars near the elevator, and I got paint on my hand and shorts. I told them at checkout and they removed 3 days of parking ($45) for me.
  8. I have stayed there 3 times using PRICELINE (usually between 45-50 dollars). But be warned that there is a hefty parking fee there - I think it was 14 or 15 dollars a night. Great place, though.
  9. All of the 3.5 or 4 star hotels are charging big rates for parking, including the Hyatt. Through PRICELINE I have stayed at the doubletree, Hyatt, Hilton and all charge those big parking fees.
