Bid all week on Priceline for a good rate in Evanston, IL - tried $40-$65 for 11/21/2011-11/27/11...swapping various dates with no luck. The Orrington has been down graded to a 3 star (from 3.5) making a gaurantee in the area difficult. I had some flexibility and ended up staying down the road at the Doubletree (there is a pool) for $56 for the first three nights. I then saw the Orrington was on hotwire for 83 and bid through priceline - won $78 for 11/24-27...

FYI Just used the PRICELINE link and bid 50, 53, won w/ $55 for this hotel for Thursday night.

Used the PRICELINE link BID Beechwood area 3.5 stars for $44 w/ no luck... Added S. Cleveland and increased to $46 and won the hotel I wanted - Hilton East. :)

Followed the link to PRICELINE and won the Westin for $90 on June 6, 2010. I rountinely stay there for work for $220-$280...but this time it was on my tab so, points be damned, I went for a deal. It is tough to get any deals in Calgary or Edmonton for the past year (in my experience) at the downtown hotels.

followed the posted assistance - used the PRICELINE link and won the Airport Hilton for $75.
