  1. I was shocked to learn that this HI is rated at 3.5 stars, having stayed there numerous times in the recent past. I started bidding for Allentown East 3.5* at $51, increased to $54 and added Bethlehem, then bid $57 by including Allentown-Dorney Park. I should have done my research to learn that Priceline considers this HI to be 3.5*, but never in my wildest imagination would consider this to be anything more than a 2.5* hotel. Now, it's a reasonable price for a reasonable hotel, but it's nowhere near the rating that they have assigned it. It's really gone downhill since the summer. Fortunately I only bid one night and will look for a second night elsewhere, paying more attention to the ratings! November 24 for one night.
  2. A few unsuccessful bids at lower rate for both 3.5 star and 4 star, and whalla--at $65 got the four star Hyatt. Rate online for this hotel is $189.
  3. August 3-4. Started with 4* at $50, added a zone without 4* at $60, added a third zone that includes a 4* at $60, then added a 3.5* in this zone, which resulted in the successful bid for the Marriott Washington Dulles Airport, list price $160. Thanks, BetterBidding!
  4. 3* Holiday Inn, Tarpon Springs Jan 31 to Feb 2 $55 Rejected $45 and $50.
