  1. My first time back to Michigan after Michigan State's glorious victory over Michigan a few months back in East Lansing. Those Wolverines really stank up the joint in the latter stages of the game. What a great win by Michigan State. Not that anyone on these boards care... ;) This is my first time posting a hotwire win. I dealt in Canadian Dollars so it might be a bit different from US values... The hotel should be decent enough for a 5 or 6 hour rest before a flight. Rate per night: CAD51.59 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: CAD11.90 Subtotal: CAD63.50 The amenities are listing below... Amenities Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access I used the betterbidding.com site link for my search... does it matter that I wasn't signed in? Did I mention the Wolverines really blew it?
  2. Rocked the betterbidding.com PRICELINE link and bid in at $50. Rejected. Later tried $55 and got a counter offer for $66 so I took it. I just didn't have time to pussyfoot around over a couple of dollars as we're there tomorrow. Off to camping at Rollins Pond in the 'Dacks for a couple nights afterwards. Any tips on A- the best route from Syracuse (Watertown or Old Forge)? I've done the Watertown route a every time before, but my friend swears by the Old Forge route. B- any worthwhile activities for the 4 and an almost 2 year old between Syracuse and Rollins (Saranac Lake area)? Saving money is awesome, and betterbidding ALWAYS delivers. Thanks BETTERBIDDING.
  3. The title says it all. I'm pretty sure I remembered to rock out the betterbidding.com link... hopefully I didn't forget. I was at work, and old man Conlon was breathing down my neck. I had to book this one fast, so that I could get my TPS reports filed in time for my little family getaway. If I didn't remember, I sincerely apologize, because this site is a true credit to Al Gore and his side project we call the internet. All hail the environment!
  4. As usual, I rocked out the betterbidding.com PRICELINE link. I bid like crazy on this one over a couple days starting at $65, adding free zones out the yin-yang each day!!!!! 2nd last bid was $90... not-going to-do-it!!!! Finally I dropped a $95-bomb and BINGO!!!!! 5. Started at $50, which I usually get the hotel for, and then added zones (none of which have a known 4*) in $3 increments until winning at $62. I was flexible on dates and original was shooting for the 22-23, but still got rejected at $65. The rack rates are pretty high that night... not sure why. Possibly the Lilac Festival???? As usual I rocked out the betterbidding.com PRICELINE link. Love the site! Edit- 3 rooms were booked.
  6. One night... First bid $58 downtown... added Amherst and got the Marriott for $60. Decent hotel for the price. The kids liked the pool.
  7. It was a while ago when I booked it, but I the PRICELINE link (at least I think I did). Thanks.
  8. $45/night Feb 21-26. Initially I was looking for something closer to the beach, but I gave up after getting this deal. Includes continental breakfast too.
  9. Accepted on first bid, and used the PRICELINE link from betterbidding.com. This should make a decent base for a ski trip.
  10. Maybe Feb 19-23 (ish). I could work around the dates based on the rates though.
  11. I saw some successful bids at the Diplomat Resort in the $70 range. I'd like to book this in late February but still haven't had success (I've gone as high as $71). Is too close to primetime to get the $70 bid? As well, I realize there is still some time before then.
  12. Sorry... forgot the dates! 2 nights Sept 11-13 2009.
  13. Clicked in to PRICELINE from betterbidding link. First bid $46- no dice Added East Rochester (free bid) $48- no dice Added Northwest $50- ACCEPTED Thanks betterbidding!
