  1. I feel like I should have started lower as there are few areas with 3.5 stars, but my first bid was $75 and it was accepted for the Hotel Skirvin. It appears that the hotel has received some stellar reviews. As always, I used the PRICELINE link. Thanks for the site.
  2. So this is a filler to cover nights that I couldn't get the hotel I wanted. I was hoping for the Hilton Hill Country property as a filler, but this one will do. I got it for $13 less a night than the secret hotel, that I think was this, listed on Hotwire. I used both the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, and I'm once again thankful for this site.
  3. Oh, sorry. I was thinking I may have forgotten something. We are going from 6/3/12 to 6/5/12. We're staying at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort from 6/5/12 to 6/8/12, but they had no availability on 6/4.
  4. This took some time, mostly because I was trying to get 5 nights, and Monday was booked solid. At any rate, I stayed at this property last year, and my family loved it. I've seen it go for less, but the retail price of this room is normally well above $260 for this time of year. I started bidding at $90, and kept going until it accepted at $130. I tried increments of $5 and sometimes less per night, and this was the one that won. I used the PRICELINE link, which is always helpful, and I also checked a few things out on using the HOTWIRE link as well. I love the site, as always.

  6. I bid several times from about $75 all the way up to$123 over a few days, and was hoping to get this for a bit less, but 65% off of the retail price isn't bad at all. First bid of $123 was accepted. We are visiting Sea World again, and this hotel offers amenities that no other place has. We are staying 6-12 through 6-17. We got two rooms at this price, and I'm calling today to make sure they're near each other. I used the Priceline link above. The total price for both rooms and fees was $1460.90
  7. Yes. The Hyatt is the only Resort in the San Antonio area, now. The Hill Country Hilton "Spa" has been downgraded, but I think it's at 3 *, not two, now. I may be wrong. Good luck. Let us know what price you get! hugh
  8. The top one looks like it could be either the Palazzo or the Venetian The second one looks like it could be the Venetian or Wynn. You should think about posting this in the Nevada section of the site. Its current location in "Priceline-Texas" is a bit out of place.
  9. I was originally bidding on dates from 8-26 to 8-31, and bid all the way up to $110 for a resort in the West area of San Antonio, but we switched the dates, to dates that Sea World wasn't open, selected the resort and West, and on the first bid of $55 got the Hilton Hill Country Hotel & Spa, which would be great for sleeping, but no Sea World. Resubmitted a new request for these dates, and are now stoked. Had to try a couple of days working between $50 to $115 a night. First try tonight we landed it at $55 again. We'll hopefully spend most waking minutes at Sea World, or the Zoo, or that Hill Country Ranch. I used the PRICELINE link. We're super excited, and we appreciate this site existing. Thanks also to saso for the heads up about Sea World being closed. Holler. 10. Yep. That info was a lifesaver, saso. Had to make a couple of edits, but it was no problem.
