I won a bid for the Sheraton Centre for May 28-29/2011 at $95/night for two rooms. I tried $85 but was rejected, put in $95 the second try and was accepted. Is this a good price?
I bit the bullet and ended up staying at the Delta Signature Room with complimentary breakfast, h'ors de heuvres and internet for $240/night. Booked through conventional means. We were dead from all the walking by Saturday night so it was nice not to have to deal with the hotel issue towards the end of the night.

This is 4* on HOTWIRE and 3.5* on PRICELINE. I got the one for 4* on Hotwire. Sorry, what I mean is that I did a search for 4* on Priceline hoping to get Lowes le Concorde to match the one I won on Priceline for August 7-8th and got rejected at $105 so I decided to take the Hotwire one which could have been either Lowes le Concorde (which is what I wanted so that I wouldn't have to move hotels) or the Hilton but ended up to be Hilton. Still happy though.
I'm having a hard time booking anything for Saturday from the 8th to the 9th for Quebec City. No hotels available on Hotwire and I have gone to $210 on Priceline for 4* and 3.5* with no luck. Does this mean there is just no hotels available at discount because of the high-season? Do you think they will make rooms available 1-3 days before? Any suggestions?
4* Loews Le Concorde, August 7-8, 2009 - $120 per night. Tried $100 per night but was rejected. Then tried $120 and got accepted. Saw on HOTWIRE that there was a 4* going for $138 so this might be the same one.
I am also in a similar situation although I decided to split the hotels since I know I'll have a hard time getting 3 nights in a row. I'm staying from August 7 to the 10th. I won a bid of $120 for 4* (Loews Le Concorde) for the stay on August 7 to the 8th. I got a hotel at $106 for the Hilton (4* on Hotwire/3.5* on Priceline on August 9th to the 10th. I'm having a hard time booking anything for Saturday on the 8th to the 9th though. No hotels available on Hotwire and have gone to $210 on Priceline for 4* and 3.5* with no luck. Any suggestions?
