  1. Thanks, I will start monitoring the rates in both of those areas. I would really like to stay at the residence inn, but others are acceptable as well. I will post when I get a winning bid. Using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
  2. I did go through the link to get to priceline and hotwire. Found the best deal around cypress and cerritos on priceline. But since there's very little record of winnings in the cypress area alone. I think the recent winning in cerritos might be a better and sure bet. 3.5* Orange County (Cerritos - La Mirada) Sheraton Cerritos At Towne Center Let me know what you think.
  3. I checked the hotel list for Orange county - Cypress/Los Alamitos 3* rating, and only see Courtyard and Residence Inn listed. But searching for past winnings in the Orange County priceline forum, I don't see any past history of those hotels or any other winners in Cypress 3*. Please help check if the hotel list is current. Also I see the locations in OC got reorganized recently, Cypress was part of (Bueana Park - Cerritos - Cypress ) location group. I need one night on Feb 6th 2014 for a transfer in LGB, but don't really like staying next to the airport and have my own rental. Please advice. Thanks in advance.
  4. My budget is around $100 per night tops, of course the lower the better since we won't be utilizing the onsite facility much aside from what's in the room. However frig and kitchenette do come in handy.
  5. Let me clarify my intent, I plan to travel with my family including a small toddler. Therefore having a refrigerator and possibly a kitchenette would be the most important requirement in selecting a hotel to stay. Are you aware of anyway to filter by that criteria? I understand in talking to my coworkers that most Vegas hotels close to the strip don't have a frig, or have a frig but filled with hotel provided snacks.
  6. There are very few recorded winnings in the convention center 3* category. However, my family is targeting the courtyard convention center and residence inn convention center, both are in this area and 3*. So I hope there aren't any "surprises" in that area/star rating, please help identify hotel listing for that area/star rating. Thanks.
  7. Got this on the second bid, first try with $45 failed. Reduced to 1 night stay from 2 and raised the bid to $48, and was successful. Was then able to extend that rate for another night. Thanks better bidding for the winning history on this area.
  8. Thanks to everyone's input. I have booked the Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport hotel for those two nights of stay. Wifi access should be free, however there's an extra $8 per night for parking. The hotel is not too far away from the Golden Village commercial sector in Richmond. 3* Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport hotel $52 per night 2/25/2011 - 2/27/2011 As usual, used the PRICELINE link. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the great info. Were you expecting to get this hotel or the other option - Westin Wall Center? I noticed that the two hotels are quite different in the rooms and amenities they offer.
  10. Thank you for responding, after researching on 3.5 star hotels, I found that Marriott, Hilton, and delta all required fees for on-site parking and wifi access. This adds another $15-20 per day. In this case, I would rather go for the 3 star hotels which offer both for free, or try to get the river rock resort (4 star, parking and wifi free). Thanks again.
  11. Need help/recommendations for best value. -- Would like to stay close to the Richmond downtown shopping area -- Hope to avoid the hotels immediately next to the airport (for better sleep at night). So far I am interested in 3.5 stars hotels, hilton and marriot are both good options, but Delta is also in this class that I would like to avoid, willing to go up to 4 stars or down to 3 stars if the it's under $85 per night / comfortable/ close to the shopping malls. Thanks in advance.
  12. Couldn't get this rate in Beaverton/Hillsboro 3* range, got this instead. Very strange since the suggested median range for Beaverton 3* was actually less than Lloyd Center.
  13. Was hoping for another hotel in the same area, but we are only staying one night, so it will do.
  14. Been following the rates daily, see some downward trend for the thanksgiving week, got this at 1/2 price of the median suggested rate of $350 for MTE 4*.
  15. I have been trying for the same region and star rating for the same day next week, it appears the hotels are charging more for next week compare to past winnings. Do you think the rate may come down to the normal range as we get closer to next week?
  16. The rate seems to go up a little during thanksgiving week.
  17. Not sure why the off season actually cost more than the summer travel season. Hilton took the offer compare to the normal Intercontinental Athenaum.
  18. Thanks Betterbidding for helping me stick close to the winning bids. However, I couldn't get the price for all three days I am staying there 11/19-11/22. I was only able to get this rate for one day, now I have do the work over the two other days.
  19. :) Thanks SFN and Aaron, I will make sure to find private parking instead of valet.
  20. Hi, would you care to share also how much they charge for parking spot? I have heard that parking is outrageously high in SF hotels .
