  1. I want to stay at the Bonaventure in August. I started at $46 bid West Ft Lauderdale - Plantation Changed date and bid $56 Added Coral Springs and bid $61 Added Miramar and bid 65 no deal yet. I'm 6 months out, so I'll try again later. I of course used the PRICELINE link. I'm only staying one night, so that might affect it, too. Thanks
  2. Amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services And I checked the prices that others are paying for PRICELINE, and they seem to get charged up to $17 per night in taxes/fees. So I think I did ok with Bonaventure at $78 plus $12 per night taxes/fees, for $90 fully paid per night, for 4 nights. I'll post a review and analysis after the trip. I had previously rated Bonaventure on the old board. Thanks, M
  3. I just booked a HOTWIRE room at Hyatt Bonaventure in Weston FL. I noted 2 adults 2 children and was booked into a 1 king bed room. I called the hotel. They "noted" a request for 2 queens but suggested I call Hotwire. I called Hotwire and, after some mild, polite prodding, the CS rep called the hotel and asked them to change the reservation to a 2 queens room. She did, the hotel agreed, and I've got the room I wanted at a lowish price. The CS rep first gave me the "we book the room based on your profile" which of course is a bit silly since it clearly said we had 4 people sharing the room. A king room was inappropriate from the get go. Hotwire doesn't allow you to choose. My faith was restored in Hotwire when they agreed to call the hotel for me. I of course used the HOTWIRE link on betterbidding.com to place my order. Thanks, M
  4. Hi; just reporting that the non-bidding prices for the Hyatt in Bonaventure (Weston FL) being quoted for Nov. 25-29, 2009 are $92 per night on Priceline and $78 per night on Hotwire. The Hyatt at Bonaventure is currently the only 4* hotel in the area (HOTWIRE's list). While I didn't use the betterbidding system this time, I've used it very successfully in the past. Thanks to the owner of the board for this invaluable service. I used the betterbidding HOTWIRE link to make my reservations. ETA: I just noticed that Hotwire added about $12 per night in "tax recovery charges and fees". Oh, well.
