Comes out to be $40 + 14.27 (taxes/fees) = $54.27. Not a great deal as there are several discount Bangkok hotel sites that you can book a room here for $54 (taxes included) WITH FREE BREAKFAST. :)

Was this a 4* bid -- or was it a 3* bid that was "upgraded" to 4* by PL? I just tried bidding $30 for 4/12 at a 4* in Silom/Riverside and it was rejected. Added 3* and resubmitted -- it was accepted and "upgraded" to the purported 4* Holiday Inn.

Just returned from a business trip to Bangkok and screwed up w/ something so I need to return next month to fix it. On a tight budget, I'm looking for 3* hotels this time, although the 4* Marriott Bangkok Spa & Resort was AWESOME!!! Did a search and can't find any posts on this. According to TOBB, there's a 3* in the Sukhumvit zone -- the Regency Park -- but there are no posts on any successful bids. I'm trying for 13-24 of Jan 2005, and the hotel's lowest online rate is about $65 per night. Anyone with any experience on this?

Yeah ... this was my first bid for this stay. Maybe it's just me, but whenever I get accepted on my FIRST bid, I kick myself and say "I should've bid lower!" :)
