I won this after a few rejected bids. This is about $20 cheaper than LaQuinta's AARP website price.
I used your PRICELINE link.
Thanks.
Hi- to get started, I looked at Expedia aarp rates. They have the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista- for $49. and has a free shuttle to the parks.
The LBV area is good for Disney. If you don't have a car- be sure to figure in transportation costs with your bid- you will not be guaranteed
a hotel with free shuttles.
Price was $85/night total. Hyatt Regency.
It's the only 4* that has been *reported to the board* in the downtown zone. There may be others, but there are not too terribly many hotels in this zone, so - while no guarantees - I think there's a good chance it's the only 4*.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Thanks- got the Hyatt 4 star, June 4-8 for $85.- had to work my way up to that price to get it accepted. I also used $5. bonus per night in that $85 total.
used your link- sorry I posted it was $90 by error.
thanks.

Is the Hyatt Regency the only 4 star hotel in town?
It's the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. Got it for $79./nite. total trip $272.
The Ramada Website had it for $370 Total trip, non refundale. That's a big savings..
Thanks for your help. I used your HOTWIRE link to purchase it.
Thank you for the info.
Could it be the Sheraton 4 points? If that approval rating # is from Hotels.com, the Sheraton is 87%. The approval rating of Holiday Inn on the beach is 91%-
The original hotwire listing says the hotel has an 85% approval rating.
Amenities- Beachfront, fitness ctr, pool, restaurant, business ctr, laundry, internet, 85% customer approval.
Thanks for your help. and I will use your link to buy.

Just FYI, Tradewinds Island Grand resort fee is $25. per nite.
The Sirata is $113 a nite on Expedia and $8 to park. It is very close to Tradewinds IG
May I offer my opinion? Clearwater Beach has the Hyatt as the only 4* hotel and you are going in the prime vacation season. There are two 3 1/2 * hotels reported, the Hilton and Marriott Suites. Have you researched if those would be acceptable, it's really only a 1/2 * difference and would improve your odds of getting a winning bid.
You could try a low bid just for the heck of it and work your way up.
On Expedia, the Hilton Clearwater beach is $190 avg for your dates.
You should also consider booking a room now that is totally refundable.
Good luck.
Got it on the first bid. Used your PRICELINE link.
I got it on the first bid.
That is the correct location- Empire St address.
Won on 3rd bid, worked my way up to $49.
Third time I've won this hotel.--it is a very nice property with hot breakfast.
I know to use your PRICELINE link-thanks for all the help.
I just won the Tremont Hotel using HOTWIRE. It is next door to Ditkas. Click on my user name to ID it- and it lists the amenities and zone in my old post.
Won bid June 29, 2010.

Is it the Tremont? thank you. $92 per nite

thank you
Got it
Thanks again
I will use your link to begin bidding.

I am trying to bid on Gatlinburg-3 star. When I click on the zone for Gatlinburg, the highest star is 2 1/2. How did the poster win a 3 star hotel in that zone?
thanks

I can bid on a 2 star hotel, BUT there is no 2 star hotel inside the map boundaries. I've identified several 2 1/2 star properties; Holiday Inn express, Wingate and Hlton Garden Inn.
The Comfort Inn 2 star is not inside the map boundaries. What do you think the 2 star is? Or will I get bumped up to a 2 1/2 star? There is also a Staybridge suites- what star level would that be?
THANKS.
