Hi, Are you able to ID the 3-star hotel near LAX at hotwire? This hotel features the following amenities: - Airport Shuttle - Fitness Center - Pool(s) - High-speed Internet Access This is 3-star hotel looks interesting because it costs a few bucks MORE than the 3.5-star Hilton LAX (hotwire). And in my opinion, Hilton LAX is not bad at all for a couple of night stay - if you don't get the 3rd floor specially "reserved" for hotwire and Priceline customers. RichDad

Hi, may I know what this 3.5* hotel is? Hilton LAX? Regarding the 4-star hotel in LAX at hotwire, which is the Sheraton Gateway I think, if true, this hotel got and continue to get very negative reviews at tripadvisor, anyone has any comments regarding this hotel and/or those negative reviews?

3.5-star hotel in Glendale - Burbank - Universal City Area Holiday Inn Universal Studios Hollywood, CA or known as The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn 4222 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood, CA, 91602 Phone (818) 980-8000 Paid $79/night, total 5-nigh stay (with tax and all of hotwire's HIDDEN fees) = $450.76 As expected, HOTWIRE refused to refund, compensate or change hotel. Even with over 74,000 pages of complaints when you google "hotwire and complants", they are still humming along fine. The Interner is still a wild, wild west! Hotwire's rating guidelines for 3-star hotels includes Holiday Inn, when I got a 3.5-star hotel in Glendale - Burbank - Universal City Area (May 24-29, 2009), I got The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in North Hollywood, not only the staff here are rude, I asked one of them this simple question, how long does their washing machine cycle run, his EXACT reply, "I don't know and I don't care. I'm busy reading a text message now." Then he looked away from me! That's not all, I checked out of Hilton LAX, a 3.5-star rating at hotwire just before checking into this Holiday Inn, the Hilton may ranked in the 40s at tripadvisor but it is a much better hotel compared to The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn (which surprisingly ranks in the mid-20s at tripadvisor). The TV here is so old (from the 80s or 70s, seriously) - it is shocking. Of course, everything else here looks dated too, the room I got is small, Hilton LAX's rooms a lot more comfortable, this Holiday Inn looks and feels more like a Motel 6 or a Super 8. Be warned!
