This was my first bid at $75 and it was accepted. I made it after carefully checking out the available hotels in the Loop at their online sites and reading the posts on this site. The AAA rate is $175/nt for this hotel so at my rate of $75/nt I think I got a great deal. Taxes & fees for 2 nts is $29.88, so total for 2 nights is $179.88. I have never stayed in this hotel and am not very familiar with Chicago but it seems nice. I was looking for something close to the Amtrak station downtown. Any comments on this hotel and rate and how I bid are appreciated. Would it be better next-time to start lower, or do you think that starting at $75 was justified? Thanks for a great site. -jccseg
