  1. Saw on PRICELINE EXPRESS for 100$/night, so I figured I could get it a little bit lower on NYOP. started at 88$ and went up to 94$ for the winning bid.
  2. saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at 82$ in that zone, so figured I could get a better deal if I named my price. Started at 65$ and then increments of 2$. Got it at 75$. Looking forward to my stay !
  3. Named my price. Started bid 55$ and increased bid to 1$ every failed attempts. Accepted at 66$ USD.
  4. I would have love to stay at the embassy Suite Hotel Brea-North Orange County, unfortunately, it is actually the Embassy Suite Anaheim - North, it's close the Santa Ana river and next to the highway 91. On trip advisor, it's ranked 58 of 112 Anaheim hotels. I can't give you more details unless I actually write the address, but I'm not sure if it's allowed...if it is I will gladly write it down.
  5. I tried again and I increased my range from 70 to 80$, and it was accepted at 77$ ! However, I did notice that the hotel isn't part of the priceline hotel list. I've read some reviews on trip advisor, and it seems to have mixed reviews. Seems to be a lot of construction going on, noise issues since it's also next to a scrap yard, as well as parking problems since it shares the parking lot to an adjacent night club. I'm going to have call the hotel and and express my concerns, I guess hope for the best as well. will keep you posted.
  6. As previously posted, I've already booked my hotel from Feb 4th to Feb 8th at Wyndham Garden Grove for 75$ a night. I've been checking the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for the dates mentioned above, and the prices definitely skyrockets (is there a conference going on those dates ??). I've decided to add the Fullerton-Brea area since there's only two 3.5* hotels and it's a decent distance to family relatives. I've tried to NMOP, starting at 65$, and working my wait up to 75$, but failed. Hotels at Fullerton-Brea area are cheaper than Disneyland/Convention center/garden grove area. Should I keep trying at my max bid of 75$, or should increase it ? thanks
  7. thanks for everyone's help ! I was successful with the bid, i did exactly what thereuare told me to do and I got a winning bid at the very last re-bid at 75$/night. I put the check out date to Feb 8th, hoping to get add nights at the same rate - they gave me the option, i added 3 nights but they were unable to fulfill my request ;( I guess I'll be bidding again for the remaining 3 days, and hope for the best!
  8. Thanks for your help AaronJB ! We are more comfortable with the Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center as our only acceptable zone. I've already identified the non 3.5* hotel zones being 1, 2, 3, 6, 16, 17, 18; thus I have 8 possible bids. Could I have 3 extra bids if I start with the check out Feb 8th and add 1 extra night to Feb 11th ? Is 75$ max bid realistic ? thanks !
  9. I'm trying to book a hotel in the Orange County district for an upcoming wedding in February, from the 4th to the 11th. I've been doing my research, but I'm hesitating on how to NYOP. From previous wins posted on the forum, the prices can vary from 60 to 70$/night, When I put the check in date the 4th, and check out date the 11th, the median price for a 3.5* is 153$. However, when I put my check in date the 4th and check out date the 8th (hoping that I can add nights for the same price), the median price for a 3.5* goes down to 127$. I know that "add nights for he same price" is YMMV, but if I can save a couple of bucks it's a risk I'm willing to take. So what my best option ? A) check in feb 4th/check out feb 11th or B ) check in feb 4th/check out feb 8th and hope for add extra nights for the same price ? My ideal max bid would be 75$/night, is that realistic ? thanks for your help!
  10. I saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 90$ for a 3.5 star hotel in that area, so I figured that I would try to bid lower and with any luck I could get it for a cheaper price. I also saw someone else get a winning bid for 88$ in the previous post. I was planning to start the bid at 80$ and work my way up every two dollars....to my surprise it was accepted on the first try. I'm kinda sad that I didn't try at a lower price first, but hey i'll take it anyways :) Cheers
  11. I initially tried a 3* rating, hoping to get the Radisson, but no luck. I then re-tried the samw price, but added the 2.5* star level, and got the Delta Kitchener. So i guess the Delta Kitchener hotel has a 2.5* rating, go figure.
  12. Bid for two nights, starting at markham, ended up in Downtown North at 60$/night
  13. Hey guys, I've tried again today, same places (markham, north and south downtown), on june 1st to 3rd, but this time from 51$ to 53$, and still not able to get it. Anybody got any tips ? It's frustrating that I got it at 50$ the first time, but I understand that it must be because of the dates. thx
  14. Hey guys, Like the topic says, I booked the Holiday Inn in Markham for 50$/night for 2 nights at 50$. I am also trying the same price in the same area from June 1st to June 3rd, but currently unable. I'll try again tomorrow and keep you all posted.
