  1. Bid up to 95 usd for 4 star using beach areas. Dropped to 3 star added downtown and lowered bid to 65 usd and it was accepted. Very close to the beach where we will go watch fireworks on the 4th! Looking forward to it. Thanks again for this website.

This is a beautiful hotel that I have stayed in several times. Great location. You can park in the municipal parking area next to hotel for FREE on the weekends and holidays which should cover my entire trip! Sweeeeeet! :) Plus my wife loves this hotel and the view. We will be able to see the fireworks show from our hotel room
  3. I did use the PRICELINE link and am pretty happy with the bid and price. Great location as I stayed here 10 years ago for a far greater price.

  6. I wasn't impressed with this property. Was actually let down at this Sheraton Property. The price I paid and the location in regard to where I had to be was the only great thing about it. Carpet was worn, bathroom needed updating, and their was this hugh water mark in the ceiling. Looked one rain drop away from cracking! I wrote to Sheraton.com and asked them to look into this and haven't heard back.
  7. I placed one bid for 35 bucks and won. My buddy is getting married and the recommended hotel (2* Comfort Inn and Suites on Broad Street) wants 75 bucks a night. What a joke for that hotel that trip advisor slams as not deserving the comfort inn name. Saved about a hundred bucks. Thanks again to better bidding for squaring me away. As usual, I used the PRICELINE link to make my purchase.
  8. Enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt! Parking: 27 dollars a night but worth every penny of it in my opinion. We came and went numerous times and simply dropped the vehicle off when we were done. Having to drop the vehicle off at the cheaper garage down the street and walk just would not have been worth it to me. Internet and food: The hotel is connected to a "Mall". Not much of a mall though but they have numerous fast food restaurants that are substantially cheaper than anything in the hotel. We ate there for breakfast and lunch. You can also get free WiFi inside this area vs. paying the 12.99 daily rate to the hotel. If you don't have a computer and need to use the internet, you can pay 40 cents a min in the FEDEX place on the bottom floor. Location: Was great. We were able to walk to the Georgia Aquarium and the world of coke. We also walked to a couple of nice downtown family restaurants in the area. Weather was great. I would recommend you taking a GPS. Being from florida, we did not dress apporpiately nor did we bring warm enough clothes and had to venture out. There is a Target shopping center with a few others stores within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. Hope this helps! I would stay here again in a heart beat!
  9. I have actually stayed at this property before but paid a tad bit more before I got wind of this site. Loved it then and will love it even more this time based on the price I paid! Price for parking is 27 dollars a day but you can go in and out as you please. Not bad.
  10. Hello all! Long time no see. Still loving the site and tell everyone that I know about it! Used the PRICELINE link to get my room. Having 4 kids, I need all the breaks I can get!
  11. Great Hotel! I truly feel like the hotel paid me to stay here. We had free breakfast (actually pretty decent) every morning and free dinner (not very good) through Thursday's. We only ate out on Friday (Picked up dinner from a chicken chain for 30 bucks) and Saturday Night (Spent 60 bucks at a dinner buffer) which provided a substantial savings to me as I have 4 kids. Breakfast at the McDonalds generally cost me over 20 bucks with a family the size of mine. I bought the kids lunchables for the park visits. The hotel provided daily pick up and drop off service at Disney World which saved me another 12 bucks a day plus gas. You could actually walk to several different dinner buffets and restaurants right in the area. Also, there is a Regal Cinema's right down the street and a Wal-greens. I can truly say that getting my hotel on HOTWIRE though using this site made my vacation affordable. With the ridiculous prices of the Disney tickets, it was good to have something like this to balance it off. The hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was always clean and fresh when we arrived back from our long days at the parks. I felt so guilty about paying 38 bucks a night for the room (Not really) that I actually left a tip for the housekeeping staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not mind staying here again!
  12. Dates of stay: July 21- 26 3-star hotel in SeaWorld - I-drive South Area This hotel features the following amenities: Suite Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool Business Center High-speed Internet Access Kitchenette
  13. Hotel: Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando-Int'l Drive/Convention Ctr Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: $38.00 Nights: 5 Rooms: 1 Subtotal: $190.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: $33.61 Total price: $223.61 Total charges to your credit card $223.61 Very pleased with this rate as I had initially booked the Dolphin for 129 a night before they added resort fees and parking and before I added up how much the attraction tickets were going to cost me for my wife and 4 kids. I quickly canceled. This place even gives free breakfast and the trip adviser reviews were pretty good. I used the HOTWIRE link on the board to purchase my room. Thanks again! Love the site!
  14. Had to cancel this trip. Wife's grandfather died and she wasn't up for the long Amtrak trip with 4 kids. PRICELINE actually gave me my money back. I was not expecting that. We are now going to Disney World and I used this site and HOTWIRE to book a trip for the same period.
  15. No I didn't. He made a comment about this being a great hotel for the price and location for heading to the water park and Alabama Adventure and I simply agreed. I actually thought to myself "If he only knew what I paid". In hindsight, I should have shared betterbidding with him.
  16. Nice hotel. One intersection down from the Galleria. Staff was very accomodating and basically asked me which room I wanted. This would be an ideal location for going to Alabama adventrue. The bonus is that I ran into an old college pal that I hadn't seen in over 10 years and his family staying at the hotel! Sweet deal. I would stay here again! 2 weeks until my NYC trip!!!!!!
  17. I would have demanded they put me somewhere downtown and stood firm about it. I didn't have a car either. I really didn't care where they put me or where I stayed! As long as it was downtown! On a side note, there was a big church group convention at the hotel that weekend I was there. I found out from some of them that it was so nice that weekend that most decided to extend there stay. The weather was absolutely fabulous the weekend I was out there.
  18. I won a bid for this hotel and was out there last month and the hotel (Of which I was bumped from) is very nice. The renovations are not noticeable. Hotel is in a great location and looks great. The hotel across from it (The Crown) is where I was bumped to and they have an excellent breakfast buffet. I ate there every morning during my trip. Hope this helps!
  19. The inlaws are stingy with the air conditioner and it is near one hundred humid degrees in Birmingham so I decided to give my new favorite travel site a try. This site has been very good to me this year! :) :) Courtyard By Marriott Hoover Hoover 1824 Montgomery Highway South Birmingham, Alabama 35244 205-988-5000 See Hotel Website View Map and Directions Check-In Date: Fri, Jul 3, 2009 / After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sat, Jul 4, 2009 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $14.10 Total Charges*: $59.10
  20. I really did enjoy my stay at the Crown Plaza. Staying downtown in a decent hotel was my only requirement. Shoot, It was so nice in Denver this past weekend I hardly saw the room anyway. :) I was surprised when they offered me the four points though. Why on earth would I go that far from downtown when I booked a room downtown? No need for me to complain. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
  21. The did not refund me anything. They initially offered me to come back to the Sheraton for the 2nd night but I wasn't up for the hassel of moving with having to get ready for a wedding and asked them to book me for 2 nights at the Crowne Plaza. They agreed and I let it go. I wish I had known about the "Standard" walking policy. I sure would have asked for the free room night!
  22. OK..... Just returned from lovely Denver. Awesome City! The weather was great and I had a blast catching up with old friends. Now...... The Sheraton over sold the hotel and walked me. They initially tried to send me 20 miles away to Sheraton Four points but I would not have that so they "walked" me to the Crown Plaza across the street. I was fine with that and the breakfast buffet (14 bucks) at the Crown Plaza was good. The breakfast and free parking that Sheraton paid for made up for my inconvenience.
  23. There will be renovations going on but who cares???? 50 bucks off 16th Street! Dude, that is sweet. Looks like we will be staying the same weekend.
  24. Hello, I am not interested in paying for Wi Fi service but plan to update friends and family via facebook daily. What is the closet location to bum free wi fi when staying at the Westin? I don't mind walking a mile or so daily to accomplish this. I heard the doubletree was free. Can I go sit there and surf? Thanks!
