  1. It was The Royal Palms. Price dropped from $185 to $156 so I booked it. It looks really nice and we're looking forward to our stay. Thanks!
  2. Same search today (Phoenix, 4* and up) gives 5* hotel with exact same amenities for $185. Lower than yesterday but without Special Savings banner.
  3. ok. I've followed up on old threads, except the Scottsdale one for 4/27/11. Still looking....... and wondering if the 5* one I'm inquiring about now is Royal Palms. I've already booked Doubletree suites near airport as a safety. It's our last night in the area and I don't want to be too far away from airport, but if I could get a nice resort for good rate, I may do that.
  4. We ended up with advanced purchase rate at Comfort Inn and suites-airport for $75. Quick and easy shuttle back to airport for rental car next morn.
  5. Sorry. She didn't book the hotel. That was lucky. She didn't even make the trip. She got swine flu and had to cancel everything she'd booked.
  6. Can you ID this one? Used site link. $203--Date 4/27-4/28 (one night). Scottsdale "Area", 5*, Super Savings, 95% recommended- 100+ reviews Amenities: fitness, pool(s), restaurants, business center, internet, golf nearby, spa services. Resort fee. Thanks!
  7. Listed amenities: resort, pools(s), restaurants, bus. center, internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, spa services. Resort fee. 80% recommended in reviews pretty high price, but would like to watch to see if it will go down later. don't see anything listed as 4.5* in central phoenix. any help appreciated!
  8. Thank you Yellowdog! Was afraid it would be The Hotel Theodore. Not good choice for me. I will keep looking and waiting. I have plenty of time.......
  9. oops. forgot to say "help with"" in the title. I looked at the hotel list and it seems to match the Mondrian, but the Mondrian doesn't seem to exist anymore in Scottsdale. Seems now known as Hotel Theodore. If so, don't want it. Wondering how old the hotel list and amenities list is.
  10. Date 4/27/11, one night, 2 person showing following amenities: resort boutique fitness pool dining business internet golf nearby tennis nearby spa services "still gathering reviews" any idea??
  11. Hotwire showing hotel with following amenities: SUITE, complimentary breakfast, fitness, pool, dining, business, internet. $108/night. Thank you!!
  12. 3.5* Streeterville, $108 Dates are 10/1-10/5, price $108 Amenities: SUITE, includes breakfast, fitness center, pool, dining, business center, internet. Thank you!!
  13. Hotwire is showing a 2.5* with breakfast amenity only in Central Anchorage on 7/31 for one person for $104. I'm trying to help my daughter find something within her budget for that night. Late night flight in but she'd like to be in downtown area for next day. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks~
  14. thereuare-------Thanks for info. I looked it up and I see the property you mentioned for four adults. It's very confusing to me that the downtown property is listed as RSW airport when it is so far from the airport though. Since we are arriving late at night in a strange (to us) location, we really didn't want to travel far. I think my best bet at this point is to keep looking for hotel that lists a shuttle as an amenity. Seems that's best way to insure that we're close to airport. I hope my thinking makes sense.......
  15. Oh, I forgot to mention that I would have liked to use priceline for this stay but priceline bidding zone seems to encompass a wide area around Ft. Myers. I couldn't find a zone that was just for RSW airport. Am I missing something?
  16. Actually I am comfortable booking a non-refundable in Ft. Myers now--the difference being that it's just for one night with late arrival enroute to Sanibel and I need a decent place to sleep cheap. That seemed like a super great rate for a 3* there. Hard to imagine prices go much lower than that. If I thought it offered the shuttle, I'd probably give it a go--- [Chicago trip is for 4 nights with family and friends. I've been watching hotwire and other offers and it seems to me that prices are lower as dates get closer. The $ investment there is considerable higher and there are many factors to consider in my hotel choice there (proximity to wedding venue, etc.). I'm happy waiting and watching for the October trip.] So, I'd love some help with Ft. Myers now. 2 adults on 11/4 (flight doesn't arrive until 11:30 pm) Shuttle would be great, breakfast great too--- but I may risk not having if price right. Is it common for amenities like hotel shuttle to be missing? We haven't worked out our options for a car rental yet........ Thanks in advance for your help.
  17. Can someone please help me determine which hotel this is? 11/4/09 3* $56.00 amenities: fitness, pool, internet Shuttle isn't listed...altlhough I'll need one from airport. Hmmm. Much appreciated!!
  18. I didn't really do a search. The star rating and price is featured on Hotwire's main page in area titled "our best hotel deals", and I chose option for Chicago. The deal is just for the the next 4 days from now, so it's obviously a special last minute rate. I just need to know which 4.5* hotels are in Mag mile/streeterville area with above amenities (for future reference). Thanks!!
  19. Can this hotel be identified? Are there many 4/5* hotels Chicago? 4.5* Mag Mile-Streeterville Amenities: Fitness center Restaurants Business center High speed internet available There's a last minute special now for $83/night. I don't plan to travel until October, but want to I.D. this hotel for future refernce. Thanks!!
  20. Thanks!! I'm going to wait and watch for a while. Hopefully I'll see a deal for fall when the season changes. I'd much rather have a more upscale hotel than the Fairfield, however the location is ideal, reviews fine, and breakfast a big plus.
  21. Thank you for this and above recommendations. Adult daughter traveling with us and either 1 suite or 2 rooms fine. Prices a bit higher now than what I want to spend. I do have a suite booked at Fairfield Inn in downtown for $186(includes breakfast) that is refundable. Is the Hilton Suites property a whole lot nicer? If so, I'd spend a little more. Thinking I should just wait and watch for now......
  22. Budget is $100-150. Yes, I would certainly purchase that now if a suite in 3.5-4* in NMA area. (Really, really hoping for Omni).
