Not sure if this helps, but last week I bid $23/day on Priceline for a convertible at OGG for 5/14-5/21 and it was accepted - at Alamo - with taxes, etc. it - with taxes and fees it's $260 (8 days)- thought it was an excellent deal.

First try this morning - picked Resorts Only and Wailea - Makena and $130/night - got it!! Currently the best rate anywhere is about $300/night. Nice thing about Priceline is that you can extend at the beginning or end of your stay. we're actually flying out very late on the 21st, so at this rate, i figured we could get that extra full day in before our 9pm flight out. now looking for a deal in Ka'anapali for the Thurs-Sunday (5/14-5/17) - no luck for me at $145...
