First bid at $90 was rejected. I added a new zone and re-bid at $101. That was accepted. The price on this hotel from hotels.com was $219 per day, which matched the price quoted directly on the hotel's own website. So I'm quite pleased!! I did use the PRICELINE link from your betterbidding.com site.

Here is an update. I expanded my search base for resorts to include the Hollywood Beach area. I had seen a few members post successful bids that got them the Westin Diplomat Resort at Hollywood Beach. I placed a bid for $135 in the resort style for both Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale Beach areas. Dates are from April 6th to April 11th. The bid was accepted on the first request, at the Westin Diplomat resort. My grand total is $770 for five nights (includes all taxes). I even got the two double beds (we're traveling with our kids). I then checked Expedia, and their cheapest rates for the same dates for that hotel were $339 / night!! I am saving over $200 per night, by simply using priceline. Awesome. I had seen a post indicating that someone was successful at booking the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort from 04/09 - 04/11 for $135 per night, via the PRICELINE link. Other previous posts also indicated that $135 was the target price for that hotel. I just tried a bid at $135 for a Resort level hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach area of the map, and it was refused. Is there anything else I can try to get that hotel? Did I pick the wrong map area? I did use the PRICELINE link from this forum.

I'd like to get this hotel as well from april 5-11. However, which of the 10 areas did you check, and did you check the "Resorts" star level, or the 4-star level? I'm trying to make sure I don't screw this up. I followed the PRICELINE link listed through this forum.

I was quoted $257 today on hotwire.com for this exact location (for april 5 - 11 stay). Please post back if this is in fact the Sonesta resort. Tx.
