Looked at the betterbidding calendar and saw 4* French Quarter hotels getting the Westin @ 85 on another week. I used the PRICELINE Link at BB and bid $80 for 28-30 March and got the Marriott on Canal St. They gave me the option to check in early or stay longer at that rate so I also added a day. Priceline Result Bid $81 on this for 13-14 Aug for 3 double rooms and got it on the first bid. With taxes and fees resulted in just under $100 per room. Used the PRICELINE link on this site.
Looking for 3 rooms for 1 night, 17 - 18 Aug 09 Priceline offered a 4* in '4 Eiffel Tower - Port De Versailles - Montparnasse' for $122 I chose to name my own price. Bid $100 for '3 Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West' - no joy Added '6 Opera Quarter East - Les Halles' and bid $105 - still no joy Added '7 St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse' and bid $110 - Joy!! Like other folks bidding $110 in the Latin Quarter, we ended up with Marriott Rive Gauche. Looks great on Tripadvisor. The AAA rate on this date is $135 Euros, so we got quite a deal. Also got round trip tickets on the ICE train from Germany for $44 Euros. Will this automatically show up in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins?
