  1. Oh and i have a few more questions should you come across here again before we do our bidding tomorrow... Do you think we'd have a better chance bidding 4* strip north for TI OR 4* strip south for NYNY, MGM, Planet Holywood, Luxor or Westin..... AND do you think bidding at 3.5 stars could increase our chances at all either? With the possible and not too bad fall back of Monte Carlo???
  2. Thank you so much for the suggestion!!! We will do that tomorrow afternoon or evening and i will update yall as soon as we figure it all out!!!! :)
  3. After watching watching watching for prices to change on HOTWIRE we finally saw what we were hoping for...PLANET HOLLYWOOD!!! :) Amenities were as follows: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High Speed Internet Acess Spa ------Center Strip------ Hotel Rate Per Night: $59.00 With Taxes and Optional Hotel Protection: $79.09 Sooooo excited to get such a great deal!! Now we just have to figure out Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th! :)
  4. Thanks!! And yes, we've definately noticed the sold out and higher prices for this weekend :) Ok, so we've officially tried $85 for the north and south 4*......even adding boulder and nellis when asked to change criteria....All we got was a counter bid for $180...NO WAY!!!! So now we're off to try a few more dollars added to that bid before having to go to a lower star rating or off the strip. Any other suggestions anyone? Also, We did get Planet Hollywood on HOTWIRE for $72 something with taxes.....do you think there's any chance we could call the hotel and reserver the other two nights there for a lower rate than there normal weekend rate? After bidding PRICELINE again I will update and let yall know what happens and where we're going from here :)
  5. I have bid so far 68 and gone up to 77 one both north and south strip with a start at 4*'s and even went down to 3.5*.... I got no counter bid, just a "we're sorry" and basically told me what to change and re-bid.... So.....Any suggestions on what to do/bid for this particular weekend? (4-17 & 4-18) As far as hotels are concerned....we were hoping to stay at treasure island (north), or any 4 star in the south and were hoping to pay under $80..... ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!! :)
  6. Soooo.....with that being said....does anyone have any stories/reports as to whether or not they've received two beds when they were requested via the hotel after booking with PRICELINE?
  7. OH!!! And to add to that.....our preferable hotels would be: NYNY Planet Hollywood MGM LUXOR TI :)
  8. I have been stalking this site along with watching PRICELINE and HOTWIRE for quite some time now and have recently decided to take the plunge and use the forums along with either PRICELINE or HOTWIRE for a trip to Vegas April 16th through April 19th. HOWEVER......I'm unsure on which one would be the best bet...We're wanting (4 of us - 2 couples in one room) a hotel on the strip preferrably 4* and have been looking into bidding on Priceline - South Strip, hoping for either the Luxor or MGM and not wanting to spend more than $100 per night ( and would prefer $75). As we looked into that on betterbidding we saw that there is a chance of that BUT there's also the chance of the Westin....which we REALLY DON'T WANT!!! My question is....would it be better to bid on the 4* TI in the north strip to be on the strip or is there an amount that we could bid that may increase our chances of getting the preferred 4* MGM or Luxor (keeping in mind that we want to be on the actual STRIP)? Or would we be better off using HOTWIRE to stay on the actual strip? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
