  1. In the end, I rented a Ford Focus from Dollar to drive one way from Orlando to Cocoa Beach for a total of $72.98. What can I say... it's spring break.
  2. Staying in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral area during the spring break tourist season. $100 first bid for a 3 star hotel was not accepted. $110 second bid was accepted.
  3. Hi, I'm traveling to Orlando 03/22 through 03/26 and need a car... economy car is fine. Using the PRICELINE link from the Better Bidding home page I have made these bids: First bid $25 on ecomony car... rejected. Then bid $30 on compact car... rejected. Just bid $35 on mid-size car... rejected again. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I'm used to getting a much better deal using this Better Bidding board. You folks rock! Paul
  4. I stayed in a very nice room at Courtyard Marriott in the East region of Madison, Wisconsin - near the airport. Hotel has nice indoor heated pool, hot tub, small exercise room, bar/lounge area, free wireless internet access in rooms and in lobby. Breakfast was available with omelets, etc. for $10. Coffee maker present in room. Good sized television. Everything was clean. The room had a "cooler refrigerator" which seems to have limited refrigerating capacity - that was the only thing I found unsatisfactory during my stay. However, at the time of my check-in the front desk staff did offer to keep anything that needed to be refrigerated in their back office refrigerator. There is plenty of shopping nearby and many restaurant choices as well. Would definitely stay here again.
  5. I placed my bids using the PRICELINE link at the top of the Betterbidding main webpage. Had a very nice room at Courtyard Marriott in the East region of Madison, Wisconsin - near the airport. Hotel has nice indoor pool, small exercise room, bar/lounge area, free wireless internet access in rooms. Breakfast was available with omelets, etc. The room had a "cooler refrigerator" which seems to have limited refrigerating capacity - that was the only thing I found unsatisfactory during my stay. Started bidding at $27.00 and kept raising my bid by $3 each day until I hit "bingo" at $45.00/night. Would stay there again if I go back to Madison.
  6. first bid at $45 was accepted at the Marriott in the Kansas City airport. Room was fine - nothing fancy but nice and clean. Was hoping for the Hilton but was satisfied with the Marriott.
