Just scored the Hawthorn Suites for 52.00 per night on Priceline.com This is for 2 nights in July, on a weekend, which is over 100.00 below the going rates on any travel site (Expedia, etc.) From the reviews, the place is in need of a remodel, but for almost 75% off I will take that any day of the week. Plus I just needed a place to rest my head, not a resort to hang out at. San Diego is my resort, not the hotel. I had plenty of time, so I started at 35.00 a night and worked my way up to 52.00 before I got the room. It took me 8 days, but it was worth it. Good Luck fellow Better Bidders!
