  1. I contacted PRICELINE and they were very good in cancelling my reservation and providing me with a refund, less a cancellation fee of $82.76. As I have been successful in placing a correct bid, I am also able to submit a request to Priceline to receive a refund back of this cancellation fee minus a change fee of $25. :)
  2. :) Very happy with this win! I also believe that the W Hotel Buckhead may be a new addition to the hotel list for the Buckhead zone. I previously posted that I accidentally checked "all zones" upon my second rebid for the Buckhead area and won the Hilton Airport. I contacted Priceline and explained my situation. They were extremely gracious in cancelling my reservation excepting a cancellation fee of $82.76. As I was successful in placing a correct bid I also believe I am entitled to request from Priceline a refund of this $82.76 cancellation fee minus a $25 change fee. They have sent me an email with instructions on how to claim back the cancellation fee. So all in all, very happy! Can't wait to stay at the W!
  3. Thank you for that advice yellowdog. I will have a look for contact email address for Priceline and explain the situation.
  4. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE! I wasn't paying attention and accidentally hit "select all zones" after I was asked to rebid for the Buckhead zone. I thought I selected Union City zone, but when my confirmation came up that I won, it was for the Airport zone! I backtracked through the pages and stupid me, I didn't pay attention the page prior to bidding. Is there anything I can do? :)
  5. Thanks. I wasn't sure if I needed to when purchasing via PRICELINE because I read many other posts where people had called the hotel after winning their bids to confirm the reservation.
  6. My dates of stay are Oct 14 to Oct 17. Just some extra info... I live in Australia so had no issues with using California and 99999 in my billing address. Do I need to call the hotel to confirm the reservation?
  7. I used the PRICELINE links to start my bidding. My original bid was for 4* for Whitehouse/Downtown at $85. Rejected. Added in 3.5* and upped the bid to $90. Again rejected. Added the Dudley Circle-Woodley Park area and I was accepted for the Washington Marriot Woodman Park. I hoped to have won a hotel for the Whitehouse area. I hope this hotel is okay. Reviews on tripadvisor are mixed. This is my first Priceline win!
  8. Thanks for the advice. I suppose I'm jut a little anxious to book early just because I'm coming from overseas, but I might have to look into booking a refundable hotel. Do you think that for the most part, bidding very early in advance is not successful?
  9. I commenced bidding using the PRICELINE link. I selected Buckhead area, 4 star and offered a price of $55. That was rejected. I added the Union City zone, and increased to $57. Also rejected. I added Jonesboro and Stockbridge and increased to $60. Rejected. I added Forest Park - Riverdale and that was also rejected! I noticed many people have been successful at bidding around $60 for the Buckhead area, am I doing something wrong?
