  1. Hello fellow BBers. I am in need of a rental car in Ft Lauderdale from 9/1/2010 - 9/7/2010. Don't really care about size, just wanted to spend about $10-15 a day. I've never bid on a rental car so I don't know if this is even feasible. However, I think I recall someone in the past winning a rental car for around that price. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I actually decided to go the Priceline route and got a 4* in Boca for $45 a night. It was the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel for 9/1/2010-9/7/2010. Originally tried $40, but ended up at $45. I used the PRICELINE link from here. Now I need help finding a rental car. How much are folks paying on average for a compact/economy?
  3. 9/1/2010-9/7/2010 in Boca Raton. 4 star with the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  4. First Bid was Dulles North - Sterling (Zone 1) for $30, Rejected. This was on IE. I was given a rebid chance. Second Bid I added Fairfax (Zone 3) for $40, Rejected. This was also on IE, but I was not given a rebid chance. I was taken to search results page with no rebid option. I then tried on FireFox, and repeated my second bid at $45. It was accepted. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes & Fees: $12.20 Total Charges*: $57.20 Thanks!
  5. Started at $35 and made my wat to $53. Total with taxes is about $68. I used the PRICELINE link of course.
  6. I apologize. I was not aware of that. I will make sure I check out that list next time. Thanks!
  7. Started bidding at $35 and had to use a rebid zone. Bid $40 and it got accepted. Ended up getting another room for another couple. Stayed for one night on January 28, 2009. I was not a member of this forum at the time and didn't even know it existed. But I'll make sure to use the HOTWIRE / PRICELINE link for my next trip in June. We are going to San Francisco. Thanks!
  8. We ended up staying at the MGM Grand at $59 a night and went directly through the hotel. Thanks for your help!
  9. I just checked HOTWIRE again, and the same search that I did above yields the same results as I posted above. There is no high-speed internet connection icon. I am including 2 people in my search. And yes, I would definitely change my reservation from the MGM Grand. However, the same dates with 3 people gives me the Venetian.
  10. There are 4 of us going to Vegas between 2/19/09 - 2/23/09. My friend booked us at the MGM Grand with one of their promotions, which brings our room total to approximately $300 after taxes. Granted, there are four of us, and the number of beds are not guaranteed, but it was pretty cheap and looks decent. But being the bargain hunter/ luxury addict that I am, I would like to stay in a 5* hotel in Central strip. I don't think I want to do PL because I am trying to avoid the Trump like the plague. Also, I don't know the chances of getting either the Wynn or Venetian (which is where I really want to stay). I checked HotWire for those dates and got a hotel for $139/night with the following amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Spa Services I can't tell which hotel it is, and the TripAdvisor rating number is not available. Help! Thanks in advance!
