  1. Success today at $82 on my first bid. As usual, I wish I had started a bit lower, despite my failed bids two days ago. I saw the Intercontinental back at $100 on Hotwire. I will wait a few days, then attempt to extend one of my stays to include Saturday, as I have the Pere Marquette for $50 on Sunday. Thanks, Living out of Suitcase, for posting your Priceline Win.
  2. Thanks for the information. Did I miss it? I see a 3* mystery hotel for $119, but not a 4* for $109.
  3. I just wanted to confirm that my bids yesterday from $82-$92 were for Friday night only. I am going to try again today, but not feeling too optimistic since the $99 rate on hotwire that I presume was the Intercontinental has increased to $137. I should have jumped on it yesterday.
  4. Wow, you were lucky. I just started at $82 and bid up to $92 in $2 increments and was turned down. I do see the Intercontinental on Hotwire for $99 on Friday and $126 on Saturday, so I may just do that. Thanks for posting your win, though.
  5. One night only. I saw a 4* listed on Hotwire for $65 that I thought was the Intercontintental, so I tried $50 and won on my first bid. Kinda wish I had started lower! When it gets closer, I am going to try to add Saturday night, but I am not overly optimistic about that.
  6. Just to close this out, I opted to go with bidding for a 3.5* on Priceline. My inlaws are joining us, so we increased to 3 rooms. Successful at $48/night. Thanks.
  7. For three rooms. First bid at $44 and received the response that I could get a room if I increased to $56. I disregarded that, and kept increasing in $2 increments until accepted at $48. Even with the $12 resort fee, this was better than the 3* options on Hotwire. Thank you!
  8. I don't have any specific knowledge, but am reading through TripAdvisor. Could this be the Staybridge Suites? It has a 4 rating with the last review in Jan. TripAdvisor has it as a 2 star instead of a 3, but it seems the closest match.
  9. That one comes up with 2 rooms, 2 adults/2 kids (which I must have clicked by accident). When I go to 3 kids, I see the Cortona. I guess I was just trying to figure out if the one without the no-smoking icon is a better option. The "saved" search came up with yet a third hotel (the one Lollipop Mom is trying to identify), but the default only searched on 1 room, 2 adults and this one disappears when I switch to 2 rooms. 3-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland South $63 This hotel features the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Since I have not been able to identify any of the ones in my price range, I think I will do 3.5 star on Priceline and bid with the Crowne Plaza resort charge in mind. Should I post those results in this thread or the other one? ETA: I bid up to $45 unsuccessfully. Before going higher, I am now reconsidering the 3* Disney north from my original post. In general, is there a significant difference between a 3* and 3.5*?
  10. Here is another one that is coming up for me now for the same dates -- I don't remember seeing it earlier: 3-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland South $66 This hotel features the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access No Trip Advisor score. I guess it could be the Cortona Suites, but it doesn't have the "no smoking" icon.
  11. Thank you for you response. Both the North and South zones are acceptable, but $85 is higher than I am willing to go. I was originally going to do priceline. I think that I'd get the Crowne Plaza in the $45 range. Adding in the $12 resort fee, I'm up to $57 and was just checking out comparable options. I was hoping you would tell me this one was the Embassy Suites on Frontera because of the breakfast and kitchenette. They don't have an airport shuttle, but they do have the Disneyland shuttle. For my family, the Embassy Suites is a better option than the Crowne Plaza, even though it is farther away.
  12. 2 rooms 3/14-3/18 $59 3-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland North This hotel features the following amenities: Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Kitchenette Thank you! Edit to add that the closest match on the hotel list is the Peacock Suites, but their website shows no availability for these dates.
