Ended up going with a Westin special for $89/night. Felt it was safer than going with the unknown, and the price wasn't bad for a hotel I've stayed at before and really like.

After checking out the Red Rock site I found a promo they had going for $250 for 2 nights and they include $200 in hotel credit. That even beats the Hotwire deal, so going to give them a shot. Never stayed there before, and it's away from the strip, so hope it's nice. Availability is pretty limited anywhere else because of CES.

Bid up to $50 with free rebids, then got it for $53. Staying there on business earlier in the week and paying well over twice that, so great deal. Nice hotel.

Bid for a 2* at $39 and got accepted on first try and upgraded to the 3* Hyatt Summerfield. Not as much in downtown as I was hoping for, but reviews seem decent and price was right. I'm curious how much lower I could have started the bidding for this property, maybe others can get closer.

Priceline has renamed their 5* to 4* Superior. Bid up to $160 before getting this at $170. Offered one counter of $186. Very happy with the price... lowest elsewhere was $310.

Seems to be a busy weekend, but located this Holiday Inn near Addison. First bid of $38 wasn't successful, received counter of $11 more, rebid at $41.

I think it's the Saturday night stay that got you (unless of course there is an event in town). I had a similar experience trying to get a block of rooms through Saturday w/o luck. Once I dropped Sat night there was no problem with an $84/night bid. Interestingly, I went back to hotwire and priced just the Sat night and it came up only $93. Not sure what hotel you get at that price (might be Sheraton Marina), but it's possible those nights could be booked separately. Dropping that night wasn't a big deal for my trip.
