  1. Hello, I just booked the Holiday Inn on Bloor, Downtown Toronto North, for $76. I started at $61, then $67, then $71 and won my last bid at $76. The hotels rates do fluctuate quite a bit. Once again, I used the forum's PRICELINE link :). Take care, Hajar
  2. Hi, I booked this quite easily for my father in law. Downtown Toronto on Carlton street, 1st try at $61. I used the board's PRICELINE link. Thanks, Hajar
  3. Hi, I made a colossal mistake when bidding this time around. I bid $54 for a 3 star in Downtown Toronto North and South. My bid was rejected so I added Toronto East, which only has 2 stars, as a way to rebid instantly. Unfortunately, in my haste, I clicked on Toronto Airport East. I obviously won the bid of $61 but was stuck with this location. So I called Priceline, thinking I could perhaps reason with them since I had actually made a mistake. Their policy is no refund whatsoever, but they did allow me to cancel the room for a charge of $25 if I could successfully win another room in Toronto for that same night. I declined since I didn't want to pay an additional $25. The Toronto Airport Hotel clearly used to be a Holiday Inn and was recently rebranded. Evidently, I used the board's PRICELINE link. Thanks, Hajar
  4. Hi everyone, This is a little late, but I figured I'd post it anyways. I won a 3 star hotel, downtown Toronto north. It's called Holiday Inn Toronto Bloor Yorkville, on Bloor, and was pretty nice. The dates were June 29-30 2011. I obviously used the board's PRICELINE link. Thanks, Hajar
  5. Hello Friends, I was looking for 2 rooms in North York, and bid $50 for a 3 star (suggested retail was $151). I got it right away! That was unexpected... I got the Radisson Toronto East from February 8th -10th 2011. If you're looking to bid on that same location, you can definitely try at a lower amount. Thanks, Hajar
  6. Hello, I just won the Radisson Harbourfront hotel in Downtown Toronto South for $61 for 2 nights. I started my bid at $51, then bid $56 and $61 was finally accepted. I obviously used the board's PRICELINE link for the bid. Thanks :), Hajar
  7. 4* Halifax Westin Nova Scotian $93 ... 8/2/11-8/4/11
  8. Hello, I won a bid for a hotel last week in Downtown Toronto North. I got the Delta Chelsea (3.5 star hotel) for $71. I booked for 3 nights, Monday November 22 - Thursday November 25. I saw quite a few people winning the 4 star Sheraton in Downtown Toronto South for $80 but I went over $90 and I still didn't win it. Rather than getting a 4 star hotel on the North side that might be too far from the Eaton Center, I decided to try for theDelta chelsea. I start at $60 and finally won it for $71. As always, I used the board PRICELINE link :). Thanks, Hajar
  9. Hi, I bid for a 3 star hotel and got a 3.5 star instead for $120. I started at $95, then went up to $110 and finally got it at $120. The hotel's in the Empire State Building area and it looks like a really nice one. I used the board's link, as always. Thanks :)
  10. Hello, I just got the Delta Meadowvale Resort for $60 in Mississauga. I tried at $50 but had no luck. I had a lot of trouble booking downtown north or South for tonight, the 22nd of September. There must be something happening there. As always, I used the board's PRICELINE link. Thanks, Hajar
  11. Hi Guys, I won the 3 star Holiday Inn in Mississauga for $41 from my first try!! The booking is for today, July 22nd 2010. As always, I used the board to gauge my first bid and used the board's PRICELINE link :). Thanks, Hajar
  12. Hi Guys, I started the bid for a Halifax hotel at $55. I then went up to $58 and my bid was finally accepted at $61. Not bad considering I bid 24 hours before my trip :). My booking dates are for July 1st and 2nd 2010. As always, I used the site's PRICELINE link. Merci, Hajar
  13. Hi, I just got the Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, ON for $61. I initially started my bid at $55 and won with my second bid. It looks like a nice hotel but it doesn't seem to have a pool or an exercise room. As always, I used the board's PRICELINE link to book the hotel. Thanks, Hajar
  14. Hi Aaron, I always use the site's PRICELINE link when I'm bidding. I love this forum!! Thanks, Hajar
  15. Hi All, I just got the Holiday Inn in Markham for $51 for the 10th and 11th of May. I initially needed to get a hotel in Pickering (Scarborough/Pickering zone); I bid from $45 all the way to $81 for a 3* and nothing... So I moved to Markham, which is pretty close by. My initial bid was $45 and I tried again and won my bid at $51. Thanks, Hajar
  16. Hi Everyone, I booked a last minute hotel for the 8th of May in Ottawa. Started my bid for a 3.5 stars at $50 and had to go up to $73 to get my bid accepted. The tulip festival might be driving the prices up since I saw some people getting the Crowne Plaza go for $65. I always use this board to know where to start my bids and I always use the board's PRICELINE link. Thanks, Hajar
  17. Hi Guys, I got the Holiday Inn in Pointe-Claire (Montreal) for $55 for the 19th of March 2010 using the board's PRICELINE link :). Thanks, Hajar
  18. Hi rmdeng, Smart move with adding Brampton. I just got the Sheraton at $61 in one try and I needed it for tonight. I really believe it's about availability. If there are less or no rooms at the Sheraton, the price will go up. They can then push other properties. My father in law stayed at the Delta Chelsea about a month ago and I heard some good things :). Enjoy your stay. Hajar
  19. Hello, I just got 2 rooms for 5 nights at the Sheraton downtown Toronto for $61 (Nov.8th-13th 09). It was my first try and I took my cue from the previous won bids. And of course, I used the PRICELINE link. If someone else is trying for the same hotel, you can see if you can get it a little cheaper. Thanks, Hajar
  20. Hi Guys, I just booked a hotel for my husband for the 3rd and 4th of July in Toronto at the Sheraton downtown for $55 per night. I started my bid at $35 for a 3 star but when I got to $50 and still got nothing, I figured I'd try a 4 star for $55. Apparently, it's a nice hotel :). And bien sur, I used the site's PRICELINE link. Take care, Hajar
  21. Hi Guys, I just booked the Marriott in Toronto by the airport for tonight and tomorrow (May 19-20 2009) for $50. RedLightning got this same hotel for $48 in June. I would've tried for less but I just wanted to get this quickly as it was for my father in law. And I got it from the first try. Thansk guys! I love this forum for precisely this reason. I get more of an idea of how much I should bid and it doesn't take me as long to get a good deal when I have no time. And of course, I used the site's PRICELINE link :) . Hajar
  22. Hey guys, How come everyone bids for 5 and 4 star hotels in Bangkok and in Asia as a whole? Are 3 star hotels not nice there? I usually prefer 3 star hotels in Canada because they're nice and they don't charge you for every little thing like internet or toothbrush/razor if you forgot yours. Just wondering... Hajar
  23. Hi Kimpy, I'm actually planning a trip to KL and a bunch of cities around that area (Maybe Thailand and Singapore). I was wondering what advice you may be able to give me. Also, did you try a lower price for the hotel you booked? I'd like to know if this pretty much the best deal you can get. I don't know if any of you have seen this, but Priceline also has an asian wing where they charge in Singaporean $. Would any of you know if booking through there is cheaper, more expensive or the same as using our priceline? Thanks, Hajar
  24. Hey Guys, I just got a 4* hotel in Toronto for $50: The Westin Harbour Castle. The stay dates are Monday March 23, 09 to Friday March 27, 09. Even though I saw a bunch of people winning bids for $45 and $46, I noticed they were bidding for weekend hotels which usually go for less on PRICELINE because the business crowd's gone. Whoever bids for weekdays can definitely try lower since I won my bid right away, so there was definitely room for negotiating. Oh, and I obviously used the forum's PRICELINE link :) . Take care, Hajar
  25. That Burlington thing you did is pretty smart :) I can't believe you got it for $46. I went up to $52 and it wouldn't give me anything. Good for you :). Enjoy your trip!
