I don't mind how long I stay at a layover as long as it won't exceed 5-6 hours, which they usually don't, right?

WAIT read this not that post, I was wrong about the tax, I just checked. Airline Ticket Taxes & Fees: $367.45 per ticket That is the amount of tax that is charged. The average cost of a ticket w/ tax is $1,000 w/ out tax on priceline it would be around $600. Should I go for rock bottom low like 200 or something higher?

right now I can get a ticket for $902 with tax and everything. it doesn't say how much tax exactly but its probably around 300 i guess and the tickets 600ish. priceline only taxes +50 to the bid amount, right?

Hi, I am trying to plan a trip from SFO (San Francisco Intl.) to LHR (London Heathrow Intl.) The cost, cheapest one I have been able to find, is coming out around 1,000 USD. The dates I entered are not flexible (Departure Dec. 17th., 2008 to Jan. 3rd., 2009). I am trying to find something cheaper, I am thinking about bidding on Priceline, if I do how much should I bid for? Should I go 50% less or what? Please help :) I'm new at this. Thanks!! Potterz
