  1. Hiya, sorry for forgetting the amneties! Here they are: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Yes, changed my mind a few times since I first started looking but at least I got there in the end! haha. thanks all
  2. Ive booked! At last! Thanks for the help guys! Lost the will to live with priceline! So used your HOTWIRE link and booked 3* FW - as expected this was the Holiday Inn. happy with that. paid $143/night, which was more than I initially hoped to pay but frankly it is worth it after the annoyance of PRICELINE refusing to take every single card I have ( but taling 15 mins to tell me!) lol
  3. Where it gives you 2 lines for street address, i was only using one. However, just had another bid accepted , filled in the second line and again, it won't accept the card. This is actually a brand new card which arrived today! So I'm stumped to be honest - best check out HOTWIRE as it looks like PRICELINE is out for me!
  4. thanks, it could well be that, I don't put anything in the second line ( as there is nothing to put!) guess i will try repeating the town in that slot if it messes up again!
  5. thanks for this, to be honest I think I had confused my self a bit or misread the priceline list on the board - as I would be totally happy with either of the 3* accomodations in fw! So I've just bid at $80 , then free rebid of $95. Neither were sucessful. Will try going up in $5 increments now for a couple of days when my 24 hr freeze out is over.
  6. oh I didn't realise it was a 3*, I will do that if I can use PRICELINE again, as I seem to be having major issues with priceline, in that I think I had a bid accepted because it tried to charge my card, but it just won't accept the card. have also tried another of my cards and my husbands card and it just says it cannot be authorised by the bank!! have checked with bank and no problem at their end. when I have some more time later I'll try again. cheers emma
  7. Yeah, I just saw that acItually. I've just got my maps out and I hadn't really considered that area tbh. Think I'll have a read in my guide book. May have one last bid on fw tonight first tho, as I really did fancy there now. thanks for your advice!
  8. Hi, what was your winning bid for FW and which hotel was it? When did you bid? Cheers!!
  9. hi, Just thought I'd update this and see if anybody has any ideas. So I decided I'd accept either USE or Fishermans wharf. I thought FW would be quite a bit cheaper too. However, over the past few weeks I've bid on both these areas up to $135. (For 4* in USE and 3 1/2 * in FW - as separate bids) I would have thought I'd get something in FW for this price. Not really sure what to do now, I can get holiday Inn for $155 on the advance purchase rate via their own site. I can't see what the issue really is though - I can see that there are some wins for my dates at much lower prices so I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I can get a 3 1/2 * in FW on hotwire on for about $166 I think. Any ideas? Cheers.
  10. thanks, yes I will follow up whatever happens then . I understand your point, but we made the decision to stay at a grotty hotel the first night and a fantastic hotel the second night, rather than a decentish hotel for 2 nights. I know it sounds weird but we really really want to stay at the Plaza and no way could we justify spending 2 nights there (our suite is costing more than $1000 for 1 night!!) , especially when the first night we probably wouldn't get there till about 1.30 am. This is the final 2 nights in a trip of almost 4 weeks so not too worried about having to keep packing things up as we'll have been doing it for weeks! 2 nights in new York isn'tlong but it breaks up the long journey home . Emma
  11. sorry only just noticed this reply! I still haven't gotten round to doing the jfk hotel! Our flight gets in around midnight. We're staying at the plaza in manahattan (obviously not through priceline!) will post with update re the JFK hotel if I book through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE
  12. HI Just wanted some help with strategy please, I want 4* USE for 3 nights from 25 Sept 09. Hoping for Westin st francis but would be happy with the hyatt. Just bid using your link from $85-$115 in $5 increments using my 4 free rebids. No dice. Nothing on hotwire either. Any advice? Cheers Emma
  13. Thanks thereuare, yes, I've read the less than thrilling reviews for hotels in the JFK area - its only somewhere to lay our heads after a late flight and we're moving on to manhattan the day after. I was hoping this 2* may have been the Fairfield Inn as that gets good reviews. Not sure what to do really - the best western doesn't look too bad , but i can guarantee the fairfield inn for $149 on their site. Hmm decisions decisions. will have a think and let you know how I get on. Will use your HOTWIRE link if I decide to go ahead.
  14. Hi Just looking for a 1 night stay on 15 Oct near JFK. Am seeing a 2* with only shuttle as ameneties, for $89. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  15. To update - I used the PRICELINE link Bid $44/night 3* Universal-Seaworld area 8/10 - 16/10 Won Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at Seaworld International centre :) thanks for your help!
  16. Thanks thereuare, I think I will swot up a bit more this weekend when I have some free time then go for priceline with the free rebids. I'm guessing that as long as I check the hotels at each zone before I add it I will be OK! WE want to be on/close to I - drive as we aren't hiring a car and will mainly be around that area rather than disney. I'll use the PRICELINE link at the top of the page and come back to post when I have done it, wish me luck! :)
  17. Thanks slick_gd, you are quite right there are 6 rebids - I just went and wrote them down! Must admit , I am a bit scared of the rebid zones in case it goes wrong and i end up miles away from where i want to be! I've read the info on splitting bids, and can see why it is a good idea, but tbh, as we don't have a car and are only there for 8 days, I'd rather pay a bit extra and not have to move.
  18. Hi This will be my first time bidding on anything more than a 1 night stay on priceline. I want this area, and looking at the lists on here it seems there are 4 possibles. I really want the wyndham resort but would still be happy with the other 3 . Best price I can find elsewhere for the Wyndham is
