  1. Santa Monica 4* first bid - $86 - Priceline countered with $109 added USC free bid - $90 - rejected added Lawndale free big - $93 - rejected added Inglewood - $96 - Accepted! Number of Rooms:1 Number of Guests Per Room:2 Number of Nights:1 Room Subtotal:$96.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$22.76 (USD) Total Charged to Card:$118.76 (USD) Used your PRICELINE links, am very happy with the hotel as we're only staying one short night but don't want somewhere scary and it has free parking.
  2. Have been trying for over a week *using the links here* for a 4* Revere-Logan in the $120-150 plus tax range but after reading another poster's similar dates and difficulties, so I changed strategies and added the lower star level. I only needed the one night for an early morning flight the next day. Bid $120 4* MA - Boston (Revere - Logan Airport BOS) - rejected Bid $125 adding 2.5* - Boston (Revere - Logan Airport BOS) - rejected Bid $130 adding free bid in Fenway - accepted, Comfort Inn And Suites Logan Airport Offer Price: $130.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 1 + Add nights for the same rate! Room Subtotal: $130.00 Taxes & Fees: $27.41 Total Charged to Card: $157.41 A non-refundable booking direct through Comfort Inn would come to $169.95 with tax, so not a huge savings. If I'd thought more about it, I'd have realised that Priceline was offering the 3* Four Points By Sheraton for $151.45 with tax. Alas, like many on this site, I like the thrill of the chase and am happy to have this booked finally!
  3. Used PRICELINE link through this site... 1st bid 3* San Jose (Downtown) - $50 - denied, offered add $15 added Mountain view free bid 2nd big 3* San Jose (Downtown) - $54 - accepted Radisson Plaza Hotel San Jose Airport 1471 North Fourth Street San Jose, CA 95112 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$54.00 (USD) Number of Rooms:1 Number of Nights:2 Room Subtotal:$108.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$21.86 (USD) Total Room Cost:$129.86 (USD) On the Radisson website the cheapest room for same nights: $214.44 with tax. Pretty pleased - seems to be a touch lower than other people have had on here - but possibly wish I'd started with 4* and worked my way down to get Doubletree. According to the Radisson website - "Our San Jose, California hotel offers free airport shuttle service from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. every 30 minutes, free wireless Internet access, free parking in a covered garage, an on-site Fitness Center, a Business Center and complimentary coffee and muffins served every morning. Guests can also enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drink specials at the bar from 5 to 7 p.m. every day."
  4. I thought I should also add that the least expensive I could find this hotel otherwise was for
  5. Bid 5* in Berlin on PRICELINE. Only 4 zones in Berlin only 1 (Tiergarten-Kufuerstendamm) has 5*, so 3 free bids Bids went as follows: Tiergarten-Kufuerstendamm - $110 - rejected added Schloss Charlottenburg - $115 - rejected added Kreuzberg- $120 - rejected added East -$125 - accepted! With taxes and fees totalled: $162 Hotel = Marriott Berlin Was hoping for Intercontinental, but after reading reviews of the Marriott, am looking forward to it. This board was a lot of help, thanks!
